Perfect central and quiet location. Delightful, welcoming and polite, passionate, professional staff - good facilities with delightful, airy decoration, spotlessly clean and well maintained - and a superb breakfast. This place really tick all the boxes for us!

Was surprised to see comments like 'a bit soulless' and 'situated on a dead end road' in the reviews immediately before I wrote mine - as this is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. I booked the Iberostar as part of a surprise 30th birthday treat for my girlfriend, and wasn't disappointed. The location is great, next...

Dear Guest, First of all we would like to thank you for selecting our IBEROSTAR Grand Hotel Budapest as a birthday surprise for your loved one and for the time you spent to share such a wonderful review on your stay, reading that ours was one of the best hotels you've ever stayed in is certainly high praise. This hotel has much to offer but ultimately it only deserved an average rating. It lacks atmosphere and the type of excellent customer service we experienced in the other two hotels we stayed in on our trip to Eastern Europe (Maximilian in Prague and Das Tyrol in Vienna). Both also offered us better value for money, with lower rates for...

The hotel is beautiful and the staff is great. Upon check in, however - there is a step up to the reception desk and I fell hard onto the marble floor. The desk clerk was helpful, but I wanted to speak to the mgr Antonio Montoro as I badly bruised my knees. He never responded. This was not the best...

Situated on a dead end road next to a nice park. Walking distance to most attractions, restaurants and night life. Rooms are spacious, staff very helpful and breakfast great! One of the best things was that this hotel has AC, when we visited in July the temperatures were about 90 degrees F! So having Ac was wonderful!

This is a very central hotel which is so over the top! Large rooms all very smart but lacks the friendly welcome that I have had from other hotels in Budapest. Over priced for what it was. Might suit people who want to stay in a very smart room but are not bothered about the feel of the hotel as...

Stayed for a conference in this hotel and was astonished by the non service of this 5 star place. At arrival no one of the staff assisted with the luggage. No one explained how to get to the room. Sign posting in the hotel is design (in this case with the result that it’s very unclear). Room was not clean...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
