Let's write this review point-by-point: Location - in the heart of the city, yet in such a quiet street, you almost feel like you are in the countryside. Close to all the major sights, and only a block away from tram, metro and bus. Rooms - sizewise more like a studio apartment, with all the amenities you need. Bonus: information...

We arrived to the hotel with the taxi, which was arranged by the owner for us. It helped a lot, as we were cheated many times by local taxi drivers. At arrival Andras (the owner) came to the car and greeted us personally. After registration he gave as a map and we got a plentiful orientation. Although I had been...

Easy to find, close top Metro. Huge comfortable beds, nice-looking room. Lots of light in room, so rare and so nice to have. Stylish modern fixtures have been installed in an old building. Very good bathroom. Breakfast is served in the restaurant next door, which is run at the time by the hotel staff. There's a small buffet, and some...

This B&B really earns its excellent rating. The rooms are comfortable, the location is good, the breakfast is excellent, and the staff is very helpful. WiFi is free and it worked well. In addition, the B&B arranged for us to be picked up at the airport. We have been to Budapest multiple times and this was by far our best hotel...

We stayed 3 nights at the Butterfly Home B & B. It was amazing! Quiet, clean and spacious rooms. The Butterfly has very good location. The breakfast was amazing, much better than I am used to at other b&bs. Andras & Timea (the owner couple) and their team were really helpful and kind. We got a lot of advice about...

We turned up at the doorstep of this hotel without a booking late one evening and were very well taken care of. Most personal and charming hotel staff I've ever encountered. Rooms were neat, clean, and well appointed. Breakfast plentiful. Location right next to major sights and tourist streets yet quiet.

Thanks again to András for a wonderful weekend stay in Budapest. Butterfly Home is centrally located and very convenient to everything. András was very helpful from arranging taxi service (which wound up being crazy as my friend and I did not arrive at the airport at the same time as planned) to recommending great restaurants. I look forward to staying...

As central as it gets. Really good conditions (only had a room overheating problem which was partly solved). A great host – András gave us amazing tips on what to do and see. I would definitely stay there again. If you do, go for breakfast early, every day, and indulge yourself with the amazing pancakes and omelettes;)

One of the best, if not the best b+b we've ever stayed in! Doesn't look much from the outside admittedly, but the overall homely feel, cleanliness, location, vast breakfast selections, and most importantly the hosts, make it a very special place to stay. The general help/advice we were offered was amazing. And just a quick email enquiring about getting there...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
