Budapest Marriott Hotel is ideally located in Budapest , walking distance to the shopping district with lots of restaurants in the area. It is located by the River Danube and all of its rooms have a wonderful view of the river and the Castle. As Gold Members of the Marriott Rewards, we had access to the hotel's Executive Lounge. Worth-mentioning...

This hotel is the perfect place to stay for a vacation in Budapest. The rooms are modern and well kept. All the rooms have a view of the gorgeous river and most can also see the beautiful castle. In the evening we enjoyed what we believe is the best Executive lounge in Europe. Yummy fresh breakfast offerings in the morning....

I think the title says is all.. couple quick thoughts.. 1. Budapest is fairly small.. but waking to a hotel that is on the river and seeing the view everyone day was amazing 2. Lilia, Julia and Csaba (I know I screwed up some names there) at the concierge desk were extremely helpful in my short trip.. I would go...

The stretch of Danube as it passes through Budapest is lined by buildings of architectural styles varying from Neoclassical to Baroque to Gothic. And then there's the Marriott. Approached from behind, the solid concrete façade resemble the reactor building of a giant nuclear power plant. From the Danube, a painful example of post-war modernism. But, if you can forgive the...

Arrived mid day and was able to check in within 2-3 minutes. Location is excellent for Vaci utca, restaurants, and any cruises or tours on the Danube. Public transportation is very close if needing to get around the city. Rooms are very nice with comfortable shower and "excellent views" of the Danube and Buda side. I've stayed in a few...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
