Made the trip! Excellent service, best location and view in Budapest. Me and my friends stayed a week. Their experience in a separate room mirrored mine (5 stars all around). Executive lounge with gourmet food and excellent service. Clean as can be, modern, great concierge service to help with tours, airport transportation and everything. I couldn't be happier with my...

The best thing about this hotel is that every room has amazing views of the Danube and Castle Hill, especially on upper floors. Even the health club (which is nicer than in many Marriotts) has great views. The second best feature is a great location, near Parliament, riverboat docks, and many other sights and attractions. The Concierge was helpful and...

It has a great location and our room had a great view, but the building is an eye sore. The back wall facing Pest is a blank concrete wall. Ugly and it stuck out. The rooms were as expected from a Marriott. Modern and clean. The elevators required a room key to go up and the readrer only worked about...

The Marriott lives up to it's good standards with friendly personnel and quality services. All rooms overlook the Danube, some like ours with a bit of an angle. Very close to the city center and at reasonable distance from everything important in the city. We recommend it and would re-viisit.

We took my parents on a break to Budapest and picked this hotel due to its great location overlooking the Danube. Rooms were spacious and immaculate, although we did have a problem checking in due to my tour operator not actually paying the hotel ! The hotel staff said I could ring them from the room and not charge us...

I have stayed at this terrific hotel many times over the years and it never fails to impress. Located right at the heart of the city, with stunning views of the Danube and Buda, it is great value for money. The staff are stunning and nothing is too much for them. When staying in the City, for comfort, location and...

I had a very nice stay at the Budapest Marriott. What impressed me the most was the staff. Every person I encountered, Whether is be front desk, concierge, wait staff, banquet staff, room attendants, etc. were all very helpful and pleasant to deal with. They certainly made my stay enjoyable. The room was nice. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable....

Our room was ready when we arrived early in the day, which was great. The room was a typical Marriott, which is exactly what we wanted. The bed was not very comfortable. The bathroom was modern and everything was clean. The concierge lounge was big with a big patio overlooking the river. There was a nice selection of food for...

This hotel is on the Danube river and across from Parliament. Luckily they have an on site restaurant Peppers that serves American and Hungarian food since it was pouring rain when we arrived. Very good. There is also a cafe and bar. Everyone speaks English so that makes it easy. The view if the river is amazing and entertainment all...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
