Staff at Ambra are very friendly and professional. Good variety of food at breakfast and hot drinks/snacks served throughout the day. Only downside (and not the hotel's fault) was on 2 of our 4 nights we were woken up in the early hours by an incredibly loud waste lorry collecting glass. This was only disruptive for those of us on the street side of the building. Otherwise a great stay. Would definitely recommend.
Had a great time at this hotel, very nice breakfast, quite a lot of choice. The only thing is when it was busy you had to wait ages to get a coffee as there is only one machine, could do with two. Nice being to get a hot drink during the day. My only criticism is that it was very hot in our room (did try to change temperature but couldn’t), also we were at the front of the hotel and it was extremely noisy until the early hours. Staff were very helpful. Got a taxi from Airport and return arranged by the Hotel very good service, and reasonably priced. Very central for everything would definitely recommend.
Hotel is small however this doesn’t impact its charm. I booked a triple room which was very roomy and clean. Breakfast is basic and there are snacks/hot drinks available all day which is great little touch. Hotel location is good and close to ruin bars or to walk into main attractions. Would recommend
A lovely hotel with very helpful staff, situated in a lively part of Pest. The breakfast is very good with decent choices for everyone. We particularly like the availability of tea, coffee and fruit throughout the day. We hope to return again next year.
We stayed at Ambra hotel for 4 nights in mid-October as part of our first trip to Hungary. The hotel itself is very central and on the doorstep of plenty of restaurants and ruin bars and a short walk to opera house, metro, buses etc. Due to being in the heart of the city, there was some street noise during the night, but this was to be expected. We asked the staff lots of questions regarding things to do nearby, the best way to get there etc., and every person we spoke to was really smiley and happy to help, giving us great advice! The hotel is quite small and boutique-y, very stylish! The breakfast was varied with lots of options from freshly baked breads, to fruits, meats, salads, cereals and even included soya milk which was great for someone like myself who can’t have dairy! They also offer free champagne at breakfast. :) Another nice little extra is that the hotel allows you to use their hot drinks machine whenever you like throughout the day and have little paper cups for you to take the hot drink out with you on your travels. We found this very comforting when having to go out in the evening when the temperature had cooled down!…
