Very good location and excellent value for money. The staff is remarkably friendly and the breakfast was abundant and good. As Italian I was also impressed by the quality of coffee served. Overall EXCELLENT.

Stayed here for one night with my girlfriend. Location is ok. About a 10 to 15 minute walk from the city centre although in a pretty cool district itself. Pricing is decent and quite reasonable for Budapest. However reception staff were friendly but quite poor. On check in it took numerous attempts to take my card payment and then 3...

Just back from a 4-night stay at Hotel Ambra, which I enjoyed very much. The hotel is clean and comfortable; the breakfast buffet is extensive; the reception staff are welcoming and very helpful. The hotel is in a good location, but your slumbers might be disturbed by local revellers, particularly at the weekend.

This centrally located hotel is on the Pest side and within easy walking distance to the Opera House, Andrassy Blvd., the Jewish Quarter, cute shops and good restaurants. Rooms are spacious and have a wall of glass affording light and an open feeling, even if you are overlooking the street. Breakfast was included and was very satisfactory serving cereals, fruits,...

Little hotel in the heart of the city, you get everything what you want for example hairdryer, lot of lights in the room, tea, coffee and lot of pillows. The hotel is near the Oktogon or street Andrassy where you can take a walk or go to the Opera House. If you have a car will be complicated to cruise...

Our first impression was that this hotel was located in a bad part of town, but that proved wrong when we started to walk around. Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
