We decided to try a 2 night pre-cruise stay here before our Danube River cruise with Viking and we are very glad we did. The hotel is in a perfect location of the city and is in walking distance of everything you want, from shops to restaurants, we really liked our stay in Budapest. The hotel staff was wonderful and...

We stayed here in May 17 as part of a large English tour group before our river cruise. Arriving, we were excited by the location on top of the hill with views across the Danube, and adjacent to Fisherman's Bastion. Sadly, our room had a view of the street in front. We were on the wrong side for the views!...

The Hilton is perfectly situated at the top of the hill on the Buda side of the Danube, surrounded by wonderful historic buildings, including the Cathedral, all set in a very attractive area of gardens, restaurants, and outdoor eateries. The views from the hotel windows quite literally took our breath away as we walked in. We booked a suite, which...

The Hilton -Castle is a great place in an exceptional position on the DANUBE. THERE are stunning views of the parliament. And the castle is walking friendly with cobblestone roads. The fisherman's wharf is part of the hotel...great to share a romantic stroll.

This hotel was in a great location atop Castle with several Michelin restaurants in the area. It is located right next to Fisherman's Bastion & St. Matthias church. Decor, service, and staff were all very polite & helpful. Sights from our room overlooking the Danube river were beautiful.

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighbourhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
