My wife and myself were looking at the last minute for a central hotel. We felt that this hotel was a good fit as it was on Buda hill itself and was easy to get to the other side (Pest). We stayed for 2 nights over a weekend and would love to return in the future. So starting from a...

We arrived at night to a beautiful hotel connected to a castle and we thought we were in a dream. When you stay at the Hilton's in Europe and have Diamond Status you are treated like you are royalty. The breakfast and dinner was free and delicious. We asked it they could get us tickets to an opera and instead...

We loved our stay here. The location is amazing, as is the staff. We upgraded to the Executive Level and with all the amenities, it really cost us nothing additional. It is the most wonderful place to enjoy Budapest. We enjoyed looking at Parliament all lit up every night. It was amazing.

An excellent hotel with the best views in the city if you have a room overlooking the Danube. The only downside is the location , you are a bit isolated here. There are bars and restaurants nearby but they are a bit pricey. To get to down to the city there is the funicular a short walk away but its expensive....

When our Viking River Cruise was over, we spent two nights here before flying back to the USA. Viking works with Hilton, has a desk and staff on site to assist their travelers. As part of our tour package, our room had complimentary Wi-Fi and breakfast. Room had a great view of the Danube and night time illuminated buildings along...

After five days in Prague, we moved to this hotel in Buda. If you're looking for action and nightlife, this isn't exactly the place for you. But once you get familiar with public transit, it's ideal. For me, European vacations are go-see-do. So at night, it's great to have a nice meal and relax. There are very good restaurants in...

We spent a week here and were delighted. Our room was booked on points converted from our vacation ownership and this is the first hotel where we felt that the value was worth exchanging our 2 bedroom condo for. While the points exchange opens up many opportunities otherwise unavailable, we are often left feeling that we have been downgraded. This...

This hotel is located in the castle area of Budapest so you have mostly all the historical center at walking distance. The hotel has a really good breakfast and restaurant (bit expensive but high quality), a good gym with dry sauna... And the most amazing views of Budapest from your room you can imagine!

My wife and I stayed at the Budapest Hilton after a two week river cruise. The cruise company booked the hotel. Staying in District I / Buda

Neighbourhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
