Well groomed cordial staff, spic an span HK, well laid out breakfast spread. Beautiful exterior. Kudos. Toiletries in bathroom and kettle in the room should have been provided. Add a few more flowers besides Geranium in the sit out.

The room we stayed is very old and smelly also beds were dirty. Elevator was not functioning properly because of lots of people trying to use it. From our room to go to ground floor took us 15 minutes which is insane.

The hotel is old, dusty and looks like someone forgot that it's 2017 not 1970! The rooms are very small, and not welcoming- as well as the stuff! I have never experienced as rude service as at the Budapest hotel. So happy I spent there only one night, and surely will never come back. Don't recommend it to anyone.

The men at the reception desk have been amazing! We've had a laugh and a joke with them and they've helped us locate restaurants and book cabs to get into pest. The room was perfect with two single beds (two girls), and big enough for us both to be able to get ready at the same time. We loved the...

A quaint quiet pretty hotel sitting in a scenic corner of Budapest. The cylindrical glassy structure is as classy as modern. Excellent all round views superb connectivity to downtown and a buffet better than most 4 stars we stayed in this tour. Give me hotel Budapest anyday.

Although the hotel is not too far from the city square. This hotel is quite dated and needs serious updation. Lifts were a nightmare. Rooms were neat and clean. Bathrooms were functional but the entire hotel needs a complete redo. Aircon was not functioning and carpets had a peculiar stink. Breakfast was alright. Would only choose if no option.

The hotel is old and dusty with rude and arrogant staff. The rooms were just about ok and the toilets were passable. It was a headache getting an elevator to go up and down the hotel. Start 15 mins early if u want to reach the lobby down on time. The breakfast spread was good.

The hotel decor is dated but the photos tell you that. Staff were friendly and helpful, opposite the tram line that takes you to the metro station. Alternatively you can walk the 5-7 minutes down the road to the station. It's not near the tourist destinations 1 English speaking tv channel, food was good and reasonably priced. I had no...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Stay at one of the capital’s iconic buildings! Hotel Budapest – formerly called Round Hotel – caused a major stir as soon as it was built. The high-rise circular building full of windows was considered an architectural oddball, and so in time became one of the symbols of Budapest and a favourite with visitors. With its 15 stories and 64 metres in height, it’s still the tallest hotel in the country. From its higher floors, you get a breathtaking panoramic view of the various landmarks of the Buda and Pest sides of the city. The hotel, located in green surroundings at the foot of the Buda hills, is an excellent choice whether you want to go sightseeing, or you’ve come for a professional event, or if you want to go for a walk in the Buda hills: the buses or trams stopping in front of the hotel will take you to the M2 metro in Széll Kálmán Square in a few minutes, and also to many nice place in Buda, without having to change. The cog-wheel railway, a major tourist attraction in itself, stops right opposite the hotel, offering easy access to the Buda hills. The nearby Városmajor park is a great place for long walks, jogging and other outdoor exercise. Those arriving by car or coach can park their vehicle in the car park in front of the hotel. ... more   less
