I stayed for one night at Kempinski, this hotel is located in the City Center few steps and you can enjoy Budapest night life and another few steps (around 3 minutes walking) you can enjoy the Danube river. Kempinsiki is very nice hotel and easy access to every place. Few things I don't like it and i have to highlight...

My husband and I stayed here for three nights and noted the following positives: very good staff - efficient, friendly, helpful with giving information e.g. selling metro tickets; Clean, comfortable room, quiet, wifi worked well; Excellent location - perfect for visiting everything, especially the beautiful Christmas markets. A couple of negatives: For a 5 Star hotel we thought that the...

Room: We were upgraded to a Deluxe Room; very well appointed but missing a tea/coffee maker in the room. Bathroom was fabulous...2 bottles of water daily. We asked for a kettle and an ironing board with iron which were not there in the room, and they were generous enough to not charge us for any of these. Beds were very...

Last Sunday I was with James in Restaurant Pierrot in the Budapest Castle district. Around 10 PM I brought him back to the Kempinski Hotel. Since the dinner was excellent we decided to prolong either in the Méridien or in the Kempinski. James proposed the Kempinski Blue Fox Bar which proved to be a good idea with hindsight. We tried...

A special birthday trip meant an opportunity for indulgence. The hotel is indeed luxurious and attentive to most needs (were we the only people who have looked for an iron and ironing board in the room and found none?)...naturally, though, these come at a price. The room was a little on the small side but very well appointed; the bathroom...

Stayed in the Kempinsky Budapest for 3 nights and from start to finish the whole experience was excellent. Staff polite and very helpful, room spotlessly cleaned morning and night , turndown done and 2 bottles of water every night.very quiet room on 3rd floor 309, not a huge room but for a City Centre Hotel it was almost soundproof. Bed...

With the Kempinski name, I expected nothing short of amazing. And they delivered! I had no idea the location was so good. We were dropped off by taxi at the front, and later learned the opposite side of the hotel opens up to a pedestrian street with wonderful shops that lead to the famous Vaci Street for more shops. The...

Visited Budapest last year around the holidays. Choose Kempinski after reading the reviews on Hotels.com. We are glad we did. From our arrival to the Kempinski and on our departure date - it was service with a smile. The front desk was so helpful and even gave us an upgrade. The concierge was gracious and helpful - we took his...

This is our first visit to Budapest and we have been delighted with the quality of the hotel, it's central location, and the superb attitude of the staff. In particular we would like to thank Edina, who works in the Living Room, for her excellent service and friendly and helpful attitude.

I was so impressed with Budapest, this is an absolute must-see destination in Europe! There is so much to do in this busting city, from exploring history to wine tasting to riding along the Danube there is truly something for everyone. Especially with all of the outdoor park spaces, this is a great city for families. And the Kempinski is...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
