The hotel offers excellent service and flexilibilty for organised group business events. Very good location and quality vs. price choice. Breakfast buffet as well as lunch and coffee breaks service offer a variety of different options. The responsible manager very helpful and available at any time needed. I warmly reccomend the hotel for business trips as well as for holidays...

This was my second time at the Mecure Buda. Good public transport connection because Metro Station is close. Perfect for train travel (Deli pu station). Friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are clean and fromthe upper floors you have pleasant views of the Castle Hill or (if you are a train buff) of the railway station. Very nice old classical...

Great location close to subway and train station as well as trams and also a supermarket. Perfect proximity for relatives we were visiting. Room cleaning was always to a high standard. View of the castle district was beautiful. Food ordered for room service was good quality and for the price, quite good quantity. I would like to see the hotel...

This hotel was fine for our two night stay. The breakfast buffet offered a variety of options and the coffee was excellent. The service was very friendly and helpful. Be sure to go to Cafe Ruszwurm for fantastic pastries and heavenly hot chocolate - located on Varhegy (the Castle Hill on the Buda side).

Very nice hotel, similar to a Radisson or Embassy Suites. The breakfast buffet was plentiful with enough choices not to become redundant after a week. Rooms are nice, but not fancy, essentially what you would find in a comparable U.S. hotel. Upper floor windows open, so be careful if you have children. Simpsons reruns dubbed into Hungarian were a treat....

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighbourhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
