We stayed at this hotel as part of business/vacation trip. The rooms had little to no air conditioning, so they were very hot and uncomfortable to sleep in. There was a lot of street noise, and the other hotel guests were very noisy, and we even had a fire alarm that went off early morning that none of the hotel...

The hotel is situated perfectly. Next to a Metro station, the National Museum and only 15 minutes walking distance to sever other must see attractions and the Danube. The rooms are functional, service is friendly. Maybe upgrade to the Privilege Lounge. Great offering

Lovely hotel, delightful staff, good breakast. However it was spoilt by the fact that the air conditioning does not kick in until the temperature reaches 18 degrees outside! This meant that as our bedroom could not have its windows open I spent a very uncomfortable 3 nights. Whilst I appreciate the room temperature is a very personal thing with different...

Highly disappointing. Should nobe have more than 3 stars. Terrible rooms, filthy walls and carpet, ancient bathrooms, not clean at all. Small beds and tiny covers, breakfast very very basic and all warmed up, canned, not fresh. Nothing to what we were told to expect. Very very bad. Everyone rude and not caring to help in any way. Nothing near...

Just come back from a week staying in Budapest at the Mercure Korona and we weren't disappointed! The Hotel staff spoke really good English and were very helpful with check in and available services. The hotel is located in a really good location, if you turn right on the Main Street you're only a few minutes from Pest's main strip,...

I recently stayed at the Mercure Korona for 5 nights, and it is the perfect location for exploring the city. The hotel is located on a corner with 2 metro lines converging underneath. It's also very easy to walk most places from the hotel and it's across the street from the city's premier art museum. The room was ok; about...

This hotel is well located, in the center (south) of the city, in the corner with Kalvin Ter and close to the City Market and Liberty Bridge. Personnel is kind, the room was small but sufficient for a sort stay. Restaurant was the best, good stuff and well served. This is one of those functional hotels.

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
