At my arrival I was able to check in very fast. The room was clean and in good conditions with good insulation from outside noises. Breakfast had a very good selection of food and beverages - orange juice is fresh and not from a box!! A nice girl attending the brea- fast bar, at the lobby level, made my day...

The Hotel Mercure Korona is in a superb location in Pest, close to many sights/bars/restaurants. The ambience is nice for what you pay. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. Tried the pool/sauna and it was clean - a nice place to chill for an hour. A good bar opposite the hotel the "Magyar bar" although the hotels own bar is nice...

I stayed for one night on business. The hotel reception team were friendly and helpful - going to significant and polite effort to change my room when I found it was facing outwards onto a noisy street. The new room faced onto a very quiet central courtyard; it was very clean, quiet and comfortable but very small which is to...

I stayed here from the 4th November to the 7th November 2014 with two girlfriends to celebrate a 60th birthday. The hotel staff were very welcoming and stayed that way all during our stay, being very helpful. The room was a little tired, the electric plugs in the bedroom were loose and so were the taps in the bath. That...

stayed here in November 2014 for two nights for business. Sadly the good parts of the hotel were let down by some very poor basics that they should try to get right. First the good parts, Central location and accessibility to the town, many excellent restaurants and bars nearby. Walking distance to the river. Staff seemed genuinely personable and energetic...

Continental breakfast, was good toi (even if sometimes no more eggs, and only local sausages, but never bacon) Location si very good, close to tram & métro

We were 2 people in a comfortable, clean, very spacious room, with a magnificent view from the large windows. The desk staff and the porter were helpful and friendly. The computers for the use of guests was a nice bonus. We didn't have breakfast there, but I'm sure that would have been good too.

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
