This hotel is within easy walking distance to the more touristy parts of Budapest, or to the metro station if you prefer not to walk - Excellent transport links that are easy to use and at a reasonable price. Numerous small eateries, supermarkets and chemist close by as were the usual fast food outlets all cities have. The hotel was...

If you're coming to Budapest by train, the location of the hotel is very convenient; just opposite the train station. Nice walk towards the city center and the Danube river. The room is small, but if you don't have high expectations, then it's enough as a place to just sleep at night. The breakfast room was a little small, people...

We stayed at the Baross City Hotel for 5 nights for my husbands birthday. The hotel is in an excellent location as its right by the international train station and a 30min (ish) drive away from the airport. The hop-on hop-off bus stop is right around the corner. There are shops and fast food restaurants nearby. The reception staff were...

Once you get out of the train terminal, you can immediately see the hotel on the left side. I interacted with the staff and all of them were very courteous and ready to help. Hotel is also a few meters away from the Hop-on Hop-off pick-up station which is very convenient for me since spending only a day in Budapest...

We visited as part of a college trip and therefore were split up around the hotel. I was in an apartment style room that had a common room (204 and 205). Unfortunately I was rather disappointed with the rooms. It was at the other end of the hotel and had some dodgy looking local smoking outside our door!! This was...

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
