This hotel has excellent service and is very majestic. The price is not too bad, amazing value. The breakfast buffet had everything you could wish for and the beds were all you needed for a great stay. I will definitely go back to a Corinthia Hotel.

This is a very grand and beautiful hotel in the heart of Budapest. From the moment you walk into the hotel you know you are staying in a true 5 star luxury hotel. The hotel is ideally located and is a three minute walk to the Oktogon area and it's junction with Andrassay Avenue. The walk to the main piers... More

All parts of our stay deserves a five star rating. From the comfortable room and beds, a very delicious breakfast, highly trained staff and maybe the best spa in town. Excellent location, just off the main tourist area close to the Donau river, yet within walking distance to all major sights in town. Will book this hotel for our next... More

My friend and I were dazzled from the moment the doorman opened our taxi door up until we left. We stayed in an executive suite and we were treated really well. The room was amazing and large and the bed was beyond comfortable. The bathroom was beautiful: tub and shower and very clean. I absolutely loved everything about the hotel... More

The room we had was lovely and clean and staff were always very helpful. The location is great to see all Budapest has to offer and that is a lot. Would recommend this hotel and would love to stay again and I would be inclined to upgrade to the executive rooms as really good value.

I stayed in this hotel only a few days with my family and we all had such a great time! We enjoyed spending every minute when being in the hotel. I recommend to book apartments to enjoy even more luxury. We had a fab weather and apartments include garden with benches so it was really good choice!

We had 5 nights here and we were really impressed. If you can stretch your budget to an executive room it's definitely worth it as you get access to the executive lounge. Really classy hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff too. Can't recommend enough

My wife and I recently stayed at the Corinthia for a long weekend with 8 of our friends. Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
First opened in 1896 as the Grand Hotel Royal; a hub for the elite of nineteenth century society, and painstakingly restored to its original glory some hundred years later, the Corinthia Budapest – located in the heart of the city - brings together classic hotel opulence with the finest five-star luxury of modern times. While the gracious frontage, marble floors, sweeping staircase and breathtaking, six-story Atrium preserved from the original building offer glorious hints of a bygone age, the levels of comfort and convenience are all reassuringly up to date.A particular feature is the hotel’s original Royal Spa centre, with 15-metre pool, now extensively refurbished by the current owners to reflect the very best in 21st-century spa luxury while retaining the grandeur of the past. Without doubt the finest hotel in Budapest. Built in classic French Renaissance style, the Grand Royal became a beacon of luxury in the days of Emperor Franz Joseph 1. Designed as a centrepiece of Hungary’s celebrations to mark its first thousand years, the hotel’s grand-style architecture and unrivaled guest facilities were seen as state-of the art for the times. Much of the building was destroyed in the 1956 Hungarian Revolution and despite re-opening in more modest form in the 1960’s, the Grand Royal remained a shadow of its former self until the 1990’s; when new owners Corinthia Hotels gave the green light for an extensive restoration project that would retain the best of the old, while sensitively adding the new. Once restored to its original splendour, the newly named Corinthia Hotel Budapest re-opened its doors, as a five-star luxury property, in 2003. ... more   less
