The hotel is located in the castle district of Buda, which was one of our main concerns with the hotel, the castle district is definitely oriented towards tourists, which is fine during the day, however at night, there is limited restaurants and amenities to entertain...More
The best location possible, maybe just the Hilton beats it. The staff is exemplary, they are as professional as you would immagine. They are discreet, you barely see them but efficient nonetheless. The rooms are relatively old but cleanliness is at home in this place....More
This was our first visit to Hungary and we stayed at the Burg hotel at the end of our trip. We would wholeheartedly agree with the previous review (LancashireLad). It really is super location for those wishing to enjoy the finer points of Buda.

The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many
events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.

I m not sure, because it s not a huge hotel with unlimited rooms, but in this area I think that it must be the most economic. So, even if you finally book two rooms instead of one, maybe it still remains a value for money... More
