I really liked this 4 star hotel on every count. The location is on a tram and metro route, and not far from the other metro lines, plus the Hop on Hop off bus stop is right across the road. This proved to be important as, as the Insider guide says, Budapest is not a city you can do without...

Friendly staff that are eager to help and a great location (the noise from the outside is to be expected with the location, so you cannot moan). Great on a budget, especially with the free breakfast and they even throw in a towel. Been traveling around Europe for a few weeks now and it was also nice not to sleep...

The hostel is in a fantastic location to explore the city - right by the metro and easy walking distance from all the main sights. The lovely staff were always friendly and happy to answer hundreds of questions and share local information to make sure we got the most out of our trip. We loved the free wifi, breakfast and...

Room was perferct and location also. We had private double bedroom, which is located in another apartment that hostel is, so we had privacy. Everything was clean, but noise from street was annoying, but for this price? Historical monuments are located close, you can walk by foot to them. Location is just perfect.

The Hostel is centrally located with the metro station just a few metres from the hostel. Also located right next to a Tesco so shopping for groceries/ supplies is pretty easy. The room we had also had a balcony, which was definitely a lot more than what we had anticipated. Spacious rooms and really helpful staff who will give me...

The staff was extremely helpful and do help in planning your trip around the city. The location is good as it is close to major sights and not far from the train station. The hostel is well maintained and clean. The WiFi is really good. Considering the cost of living at this place it is an absolute delight, as you...

This hostel was in a perfect location and exceeded my expectations. Felt more like we had rented an apartment more so than staying in a hostel. Beds were very comfy and the shower was amazing, Would 100% stay here again.

Stayed here for 2 nights with friends and had a great time. The staff were great, very helpful and of course they cooked us no less than 100 pancakes for the guest, all for free! Rooms were big and had real beds (no bunk beds for once). Place was really clean too. There was a big kitchen with everything you...

I had specifically chose this place due to its location. My bus arrived in the middle of the night I wanted a place that was central and easy access. The hostel is right above the metro, which means as soon I got off the bus I can jump on the metro and I'm minutes from a bed. There are plenty...

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
