Upon arriving the front desk staff were having conversations on their personal phones and among themselves, so we had to wait almost 20 minutes in the cramped lobby before checking in. The room itself was fine, but there were not enough outlets. The bathrooms however, were terrible! There were only 2 showers and 2 toilettes in the entire hostel. The...

I was there only a couple nights. When we arrived, there was a little mistake with the reservation, so we were sleeping in a better room for the same price (Good point for the staff). The people there is generally young travelers with a low budget who make the stay really funny, comfy, but not the best place to rest....

This place has its pros and it's cons. When we first walked in it seemed a bit sketchy seeing as though it's a flat that has been turned into a hostel. Although we did not have any problems with the beds or bookings we did witness others who had issues. The place seemed to lack hostel party atmosphere but this...

The second I walked in the receptionist guy with a nose piercing and short dreads was extremely rude. I have been traveling by bus for 12hrs and I was very tired, I don't know if he was having a bad day but as soon as i handed him my passport he lets me know that he doesn't get along with...

The hostel itself is difficult to find, there is only a small sign on a door on a front street with the name, you then travel up 2 flights of stairs and find the place. When we arrived we were greeted by one worker who didn't seem to know what was really going on, he didn't have keys to the...

It was cheap, but not worth the price. The only decent thing was the location, and the wifi which was surprisingly good. when we arrived we waited nearly an hour and were finally taken to our room, which was a 10 minute walk away from the main hostel. When we tried to ask why we weren't aware there was a second...

We booked 3 nights in a private room with a bathroom and a kitchen. When we arrived the owner told us that we have to move to another place which was at one station and 10 minutes walking from the original place. That was actually an appartment with other people a shared kitchen and bathroom. we had no locker, they...

Don't go, its not any way secure. No recites no card payments only cash. We booked a private room. We left within 10 minutes. No keys for the lock and no storage area. The owner let us in, no security at all. Window broken in room and glass all over the floor. No bed clothes and a foam mattress. He...

This hostel is so bad that we ended up not staying at all. We called two days before arrival and booked a private room for two nights. When we arrived they obviously didn't know that we had a reservation. There was no room ready for us. After waiting a while we were taking to an apartment 500 m away, which...

Horrible stay, horrible service. Stay away, I downloaded the TripAdvisor app and created a user just to warn you of the place. Don't go there. I won't go into details but you're better of sleeping in the streets.

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
