we stayed here for 6 nights during october. the staff is welcoming and attentive, and the hotel is well located in the city (1.5-3 KM from everywhere you need) its not fancy at all, and they change the towels every 3 days, but its fair for what they charge breakfast is good, but we prefferd to skip and have it...

the location is next to very noisy pubs and there are no time limits - the music blasts till 2 AM, you're not getting too much sleep in this place. Towels were dried outdoors - wiping yourself after a shower is like using sandpaper on your skin. The halls are shabby, the carpet is old and musty. The staff was...

A quiet hotel with 24hr service desk. Good for exploring the night live in Budapest. The room was clean and al the essential stuff was there. The room looked rather plain, as did the rest of the hotel. But the price was good. The staff was friendly.

I spent one night in Queen Mary Hotel. I chose this place as it is in the VII. Dictrict in Central Budapest. Everyting is just a walking distance away (Andrassy street, Erzsebet square, St. Stephen Church, Vaci street etc). My room was ready at 2 pm and the recepcionist was very helpful, kind and friendly. I found my room and...

The hotel is located in the center of the city, near the metro stations and easy to find. The receptionists are helpful. The room is big and comfortable, but there are some disadvantages: lack of sound isolation and some tubes of hotel cosmetics should be offered to the guest, for example shampoo and conditioner will be enough. Would like to...

I booked the hotel with hotel.info and instead of being charged the amount in EUR as displayed I was charged more due to their inability to communicate sufficiently! Never book with www.hotel.info /www.hotel.de!!! The hotel itself has a good location, is relatively clean and the staff try their best. Breakfast is plain but good value for money overall. I was...

I highly recommend this hotel. All the staff is extremely friendly. The rooms are spacious, good location, tasty buffet breakfast. There is no restaurant for lunch or dinner, but the receptionist was helpful with good recommendations for nearby restaurants.

15 mins walk from Keleti pu, or bus/tram to Blaha Lujza, then along Erzebet korut to Domb utca. Hotel access 24 hrs but have to press door bell. Area might be a bit off putting as is on side street but really pretty safe, plenty of cheap bars/ restaurants nearby, open late. Comfortable bed, clean bathroom, towels a bit rough....

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
