The Boscolo Budapest is a very historic place. We were told that the coffee was the "place to be" in the 19th and early 20th century. Its beautiful restored and the selection of cakes and coffees are excellent. The Hotel itself is very central and we had a great stay. The rooms (at least our) was quite small but since...

treated ourselves to a long weekend away, I booked the flights, my wife booked the hotel, and what a wonderful choice she made. We have been lucky enough over the years to stay in some wonderful hotels, but this one wins hands down. From the minute you arrive you are looked after in the most gorgeous surroundings, it really has...

We visited the Boscolo as a family for my husband's birthday. We loved everything about the hotel and didn't want to leave! We were lucky enough to be upgraded to one of the top floor rooms with an amazing balcony looking over the city which was wonderful. The hotel is an oasis of calm and the décor and architecture is...

I have seen many hotels in Budapest. I find it somehow problematic to find a good hotel in this city. I do have to admit that I am rather demanding. My stay at this hotel was very satisfactory. The location is great and the rooms are quite nice. Somehow I just thought the breakfast was a little less classy as...

The service was excellent from the minute our cab pulled up in front of this beautiful classic hotel. The valet adeptly gathered our bags as the Bell Captain greeted our arrival and escorted us to the lobby. The check in process was smoothly and efficiently handled. Proficient English was spoken by the majority of the staff we encountered. After a...

I can't really add to what has been said already. This hotel is fabulous - very comfortable, clean with friendly staff. Breakfast is excellent and of course the setting amazing. We walked everywhere it took us about 15 mins to get as far as the Danube, but lovely walks in every direction. Cannot fault this hotel and would strongly recommend...

It's taken me a while to get around to reviewing this, we visited in October last year. First of all - sometimes you will see professional photos of a place and it looks fabulous and then when you arrive it just doesn't have the atmosphere implied by the photos. This is not the case here - it is truly majestic!...

We have just returned from a 2 night break here. The hotel is stunning, the decor is so beautiful. Breakfast in the hotel is plentiful and even includes sparkling wine on the buffet. The pool is nice, a little on the small side but ok to chill out in and the water is warm. The room was large and bed...

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
