I stayed at Kapital Inn for 2 nights in Budapest this February and had an amazing time. Albert and Paul are the best - Albert was extremely helpful and funny and Paul is quite the chef. Those were some great eggs!

The rooms are very clean and of good size to accommodate travelers and allows them to spread out a bit which is quite helpful when staying several days in one location. The location is excellent--it's already close to many things you'll visit and the metro...More
My wife and I stayed here for three nights in mid January 2018 and were extremely happy with the room. Spacious, well-decorated, comfortable. The bathroom alone was the size of most other hotel rooms in downtown Budapest. All rooms appear to have a view out...More
What can I say that hasn't already been said about this place? My newlywed husband and I came through Budapest in mid-Nov. on our 3-city Danube honeymoon trip (Prague, Vienna, Budapest), and this was just perfect for us. Albert and Paul were kind enough to...More

Hi Marlene,
Thank you for your interest in Kapital Inn Budapest and congratulations on getting hitched. Welcome to the club. :-)
If you are coming from Prague the cheapest and most reliable mode of transport is def. by train. Although the ride is long, you really cannot beat the price. If you are really looking for saving money you might want to take the overnight train where you can save on not having to stay at a hotel. The train ride however either way will be 7 hours or so.
Please remember if you come to Budapest, March 15th is a national holiday and most things will be closed.
Kapital Inn is located just a couple of steps off of Andrassy Avenue, the main drag connecting the river and City Park so 99% of our guests would walk everywhere.
Some must see spots, are the Parliament, Castle District, Jewish District for drinking, one of the thermal baths for relaxing.
When our guests arrive we sit down with them and go through their needs and wants and mark them a walking tour on the map we provide so they can have a pretty personalised stay.
We will obviously do the same for you.
If you decide to stay with you please book on our website directly for an upgrade:
If you do so I will make sure you will end up in one of our bigger rooms, a favourite for honeymooners. :-)
If you have more questions please do not hesitate to get in touch with me. Email is best.
Kindest regards,
Albert
