pros: - as a genius perk, we received a bottle of wine, which was really unexpected and nice. You get wine opener and glasses, of course. - we asked in advance about parking options, we received a map with options around the accommodation, and price per day for each option - which was amazing! choose the underground one, very cheap...

I travelled with a friend and we chose this hotel as it gave a feel of the real Hungary being located in an old building with Hungarians living in apartments in the building. Having read some reviews I used my initiative and emailed the hotel asking about the entrance and they very kindly emailed back the code to get in...

We arrived late at night and left the next day to Hévíz. But the location right in central Budapest with a nice view of the museum. And a great vegan restaurant just one block in one direction and the metro 2 min walk in the other direction. Can't beat that!

I stayed here with 7 other guys on a stag weekend last Friday - Sunday. When we first arrived I was a bit nervous as it was hidden away and had intercoms to get in. Then you have a corridor to walk down before another locked gate. Then you go up a lift to the second floor where reception is....

We were staying here for 1 night and we arrived at night it's an old building with intercom to enter in. We waited for 10 to 15 mins to get just the door opened of the main gate. The breakfast is at another restaurant near Eurostar hotel which is abt 10mins walk & the voucher is given by the hotel....

Reasonably priced and easy enough to find and within walking distance to main attractions. Sheer scale of city though made it easier to catch hop on bus across the road. Access to hotel is by buzzer initially and then you receive a tag. You then enter an inner gateway and stairs, lift is also available. Room was spacious with massive...

We stopped here for 3 nights this half term and have to say it was perfect for what we wanted. The location was perfect and on the metro line making getting around easy. We liked that it was very secure and it made us feel that we were living as locals. Rooms were spacious for a family of 3 and...

Hotel is centraly situated, in walking distance of Liberty (Freedom) Bridge and also Vaci Utca: from there also other Sightseeing Highlights of Budapest are easily reachable. Also, Keleti railway station is not more then 30 min walk. So, we actualy had no need to use public transportation in those 3 days. We stayed 2 nights and staff was always friendly...

Cozy small hotel with friendly staff, big bed, clean bathroom, coffee/tea/water for free. Good location near the historical center, bus stop and metropolitan station. Breakfast was served in another building (cafe) in 5 mins walking from the hotel and it was really good. The only one negative point was there - it was impossible to open window (conditioner was working...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
