The rooms are spacious, with large windows and beautiful, natural light. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Most of what you'd want to see in Budapest is in walking distance (10-15min). The only thing lacking was possibly the breakfast. Order the muesli with milk and you won't go wrong, otherwise don't expect too much. But for the price, this... More

As I stayed in "block B" suite, which is about 300 mt away from the main building, I can't say anything about the hotel itself. Rooms are clean, spacious but the "jacuzzi" bath did lose water...I guess they knew it - may be they will repair one day? However, staff friendly and helpul. The main building is just outside the metro... More

We enjoyed our stay at Budapest Museum hotel for 3 nights. The hotel is located right next to the metro station, which makes it very easy to move around Budapest. The staff was very helpful and friendly - we even got complimentary champagne! I would definitely recommend it to others and would return on my next trip to Budapest.

We had a lovely stay in Budapest. The hotel entrance is two large brown doors, don't be put off. Ring bell number 10 then 2nd floor. The hotel is very small but very clean,. All the staff were very helpful and pleasant. Rooms are very pleasant, clean, good shower and good air conditioning. Breakfast is served in your room, range... More

In a word: wow! I stayed for three nights in room no. 1 at Budapest Museum Central with an inspiring view of the Hungarian National Museum just over the road. This quiet, clean, understatedly elegant, functional, very comfortable and safe hotel in a superb location offers great value for money for business travellers and tourists alike. Non-smoking throughout (though smokers... More

This hotel was really lovely - the old building in which it resides gives a great atmosphere, particularly as it was snowing the night we arrived. The staff are friendly, the breakfast was nice and served on time, and the under-floor heating ensured the freezing air stayed right outside! The water was always hot and of course I was swayed... Good hotel - comfortable and clean. Very warm during the cold months there. Unfortunately it isn't sign-posted so we spent ages walking aroung the vicinity looking for it.! After having asked businesses and other hotels where it was and having been pointed in the wrong direction a few times I was well annoyed upon entering the hotel! Once there, the... More

The location of the Hotel is wonderful. Right behind the National Museum. It is possible to explore the whole city by feet. The service was brilliant. The room was very nice, the cleanness was brilliant, too. A nice stay in a small but awesume hotel. The hotel is managed by a young team and you discover it. Internet possibilities, whirlpool... The room was in a separate building, after some minutes walking from the main hotel building. To arrive to the office of the hotel, we gone through an old staircase under an obscure light, in a noir film atmosphere. As it was our first Budapest experience, we feel somewhat scared. After filling up the registration, we walked to the room,... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
