Stroomi beach is one of the best beaches for kitesurfing in Tallinn. If the wind is blowing hard, you must find it. The water is low, there are not much underwater rocks and you can achieve quite nice speed at there. In general the local crowd is using the beach for hanging and barbecue.

Hotel Stroomi was closed already for some time ago. We stayed in Stroomi Residents Apartments, which is run by a russian couple in some of the former Hotel Stroomi rooms. It was more reasonably prised accommodation in a weekend when hotels in city center were either fully booked or terribly expensive. Most of the former hotel rooms appeared to be...

If you are in a search for a just night-over, or you would like to stay in a hotel close to the beach (relevant in summer season). This place is great. Just 5 min away from the beach, Stroomi is a 2-3 star hotel... Rooms are OK for the money it costs per night, but the hotel requires a renovation....

We travelled by our own car. The hotel was easy to find by car and it was easy and safe to park car for night to hotel's closed parking area. It cost only 2 euros per night. They had some problems with WI-FI during our stay. It didn't work at all. The room looks old, it would have needed some...

Been to this hotel 13-14th of July, 2013. Hotel is not in the center of Tallinn, but it's easy to reach center by public transport, bus stop is near hotel. Beach is close to the hotel but sea is full of mud and not deep, because it is bay not open sea. Rooms are basic, with shower and WC. Free...

My friend and I stayed here for 4 nights. We initially choose it for the price, but we were not disappointed. It was basic, but clean and the staff were very helpful. It is about 20 mins from the city centre by bus, but the bus stop is just outside the hotel. There is a beach 500 yards away that...

Have just returned from a short break in Tallinn. This hotel is what it is. It is a basic 2 star hotel. Room was clean and adequate for our needs. We only had one evening meal at the hotel, this was on our first evening as we were tired after travelling, but although there was nothing wrong with the meal,...

I'm told this place is a converted Soviet apartment block. We stayed here about a week and it was fine but very rough around the edges. The restaurant is for lovers of Soviet era kitsch: It's quite bizarre, but meals are OK and very reasonably priced. Rooms are clean enough but pretty scabby, one massive plus was that smoking in...

Nice location near the beach, very good transport to the downtown (ca. 20 min), helpful staff, however the rooms, although clean, are quite old-fashioned (Soviet style) and the building requires some renovation. Anyway, a good option for budget travelers.
