I stayed for 2 nights in a room at the back of the building as it was the only one available. At 40 euros per night you cannot complain. Spotlessly clean. Good Shower. The breakfast room was very quaint, beautiful tiles & old Picture frames to admire with a window view of the river. Nice breakfast cake & a huge...

The stat of our travelling the Portuguese coast up to Santiago de Compostela was kicked off here at the delightful family owned/operated guesthouse. So accommodating even though we had a language barrier to overcome the staff couldn't do enough for us! Fabulous location where you can FEEL the vibe of the village and stumble outside into history. Great room, very...

The room was clean, the hotel was clean and the staff very helpful. We had an issue with the hot water and it was rectified that day. This is a character hotel in a prime location and great value for money. We had a room with a window onto the side walk way and we did not find noise an...

Of course there is street noise on a busy square with two restaurants below, but it quiets quickly after the late dinner hour. We thoroughly enjoyed our port sitting on the balcony watching the world go by. The building is historic with lots of tilework which makes for some clatter. Miguel and his mother and father were delightful. Beds not...

I stayed at the Imperial for between 10 and 14 days every month from March to July whilst property hunting. The management and staff were extremely kind and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. I stayed in a variety of rooms and all were spotlessly clean and comfortable. I truely reccomend this place if you are looking for somewhere that...

We checked out after two nights fore fitting a nights payment because we booked online through a popular booking service and they refused to refund the night. The place was highly rated but as some say if you want sleep this is not the place to stay. You hear everyone and everything. The beds were terrible as the springs poke...

The place is right above a VERY busy restaurant on the busiest square in town. Sound insulation is non-existent. We didn't get any sleep. Plus, there was mold in the bathrooms and terrible beds and bedding. I do not recommend it to anybody. Had to book it since there was no other accomodation available. The beach on Tavira Isle is...

about 15 min from the bu station and 5 min to the boat to Isle de Tavira (summer time). about 10 min to the supermarket. Downstairs is the restaurant which I believe is run by the same person. staff are nice, but some of them could not speak English, so it was not helpful then. the information is a bit...

The hotel or Bed & Breakfast was unusual in a lovely way. Spotless, central, homely! A very relaxed atmosphere which really made our stay in Tavira. The fact that it is family run really shows in the care of the guests. Situated near the river in a area full of character. A walk in any direction from The Imperial was...

Very friendly and helpful people at this hotel. The service could not have been better. The room was really clean and quiet. The hotel is right near to restaurants, shops, historic city centre, museums and the bus station is 5 minutes walk away. We really loved the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the hotel and the good food....

“Any room really. As all that area is pedestrian. So the only traffic would be the early collection of refuse.”

“There are a couple of rooms overlooking the Jardim. NIce views but possibly a little raucous as the only English 'pub' in Tavira is directly opposite on the south side of the military bridge. Some noise from refrigerator units in the ground floor restaurant in some of the rear rooms.”
