I was given the address for this hostel by the visitor centre in Tavira main square as I had no prior booking. I walked in and booked a single room for 25 Euros per night. I found the overall experience great for the price. The shared toilet and the room were clean, the little terrace area was nice, good wi-fi,...

I rented a single room and stayed 8 days. I asked for and received extra blankets. Comfy bed, friendly hosts. Right in the restaurant district. Great wi-fi meant I could listen to BBC Radio 4 whenever I wanted. Fridge in lobby. 500 metres to Portanova railway station. Close to river.

As other comments said, "neutral" welcome. Don't expect smiles. First given room 105, but bed too small (180cm, like room 207). Room 106 gives onto the street, and the windows are very thin (don't even think it has double glazing), so if you are a light sleeper you won't sleep. The bed is a squeaky camp bed. The wifi is...

when you say, "do not expect smiles" you're being malicious with that statement. 1: you booked a single room with shared bathroom, the measures of the bed is 190 cm x 90 cm (standard measures of hotel units). 2nd: You had the right to choose the room, you chose a double room "with double bed" with the following measures 200...

Tavira is little old centre in Algarve and I found this cheap and colourful hostel in the centre after the old roman bridge. The building is qu te big, rooms clean and colourful and you have also a terrace where you can see the view, eat, relax.

The place is really well located, within of walking distance to the river, down town, the dock (to catch the ferry to Ilha de Tavira), lots of restaurants, pubs and cafés. If you eat in the café downstairs (Bica) you'll get a decent meal for a decent price. My room was small (travelled solo) but confortable, included a fan (really...

Centrally located and easy to find. My small room was functional and clean. Hosts are friendly. Due to the surrounding restaurants at night noise pollution must be expected. It was mentioned several times that wifi connection barely works in the rooms. Insofar one could be prepared. In the receiving area are chairs and sofa, so you can use internet there....

Sat navy found it....sort of as there are a lot of one way streets. The hotel was claen and basic for a one night stop off to our fortnight holiday. Stairs were a bit stiff for the old war wound but for £30 it is what you expect.like most we found the beds very hard though and creaky when you...
