I had to find a place to stay following a family emergency. I checked in to the Esplanade for 3 nights. For the money the Esplanade is poor value. The room was large enough but tired and ordinary and faced the inner pool area. I paid close to A$300 per night and STILL had to pay for the buffet breakfast...

We stayed here for 4 days at the start of a tour of Australia. Liked the look of the place upon arrival and was quickly checked in and shown to our room, unfortunately it was a disabled room with aview of a wall from the balcony and nothing else. We contacted reception who sent a member of staff to take...

Jetlag gets to me and my way of dealing with it is by watching television until I fall asleep. Received a call from reception at 0120 asking me to turn down my television..... 1 stock standard speakers from your own installed multimedia systems by Sony should have been tested to the capabilities of surroundings. 2 thin walls mean minimal privacy...

The Esplanade Hotel is ideally situated to explore the best that Fremantle has to offer. We found the staff only to happy to help and very efficient, the rooms are clean and comfortable, cleaned and tidied daily. Everything you would expect from a modern hotel stay was supplied more than adequately, free internet and wifi was excellent, room service etc...

Stayed here for 5 nights. When we first entered our room we wanted to change right away, looked pokey and the carpets looked in dire needs of a change, and I think this was throughout the whole hotel. It looked great from the outside and the entrance but as you walked down the hallways towards the rooms , the carpets...

We do like Fremantle and have stayed at the Esplanade Hotel several years ago. We came back. The hotel is close to the pier and many dining options. The hotel has been updated and while not a 6 star extravaganza it is clean with all of the amenities expected. The bars and dining area are lovely and the service we...

The front part of this building is a fine old Victorian design that is well preserved. Tacked on is a characterless 3 storey block of ( by U.K. standards) 3 star bedrooms. There is a small unattractive outdoor pool. Fremantle is a lovely place and the staff at this hotel are young and cheerful with a "can do" attitude. What...

The first night we arrived late and ended up in a disabled room which had a bathroom more akin to a '70s swimming pool changing cubical! However this was changed the next day for us with no fuss. After that we had a lovely stay. The breakfast was good and the staff very pleasant. There is a self service laundrette...

We loved Fremantle and loved this hotel. It's located a minute's walk from the main strip where Fremantle Markets, cafes and bars are, as well as the bay area where you must check out Little Creatures Brewery. The hotel itself is pretty luxurious in my opinion. We stayed in the Executive King Room which was huge and felt very executive...

We were warmly welcomed on arrival after a long journey from UK. Our room was quiet and comfortable, overlooking the swimming pool. We didn't eat in the hotel dining room but over our three days we enjoyed a few glasses of wine and a light meal in the bar. (The level of the bar background music was just a little...
