Cute & cosy, friendly staff, very clean, free wifi and good atmosphere, would stay again. They have free coffee in a morning and the hostel is laid out like a house, which is very nice if you want to 'chill'. Free bikes too!

Staff members sleep in the same rooms as guests and have to come and go at night. My room was right next to a communal area where the staff hung out at night, smoking and drinking, and it was hard to fall asleep at around 2am with the smoke coming into my room and the laughter. Sorry to be a...

I stayed there two times and it is small but verry nice. I enjoyed my Time there and there are always really nice woffers. In Winter you can get a hot Water bottel and coffee is always on Board... So everything is there :) in Akaroa you can see the Hector Dolphines!!!

We are a family of four and just spent two nights in the hostel. It is very well situated, right in the center of Akaroa. There is parking on the road right in front of the hostel and a shopping place 2 minutes away. There is free wifi (500 MB/person), but if you need more you can ask. We had...

A lovely backpacker hostel, good for single travellers in a very pretty town. Full of nice people! It also has free spices in the kitchen as well as towels and bikes to borrow. The beds are comfy, you get two pillows even in a dorm bed.

The beds are uncomfortable and the shower is horrible BUT there is unlimited wifi(just ask for more codes). They only take cash. Area is cute so it's not a reason not to come but be careful with this hostel. The kitchen is also pretty weirdly laid out.

This hostel is a terrible value. Our room STANK!! It was so gross. Also, the facilities are pretty weak. The kitchen is way too small to accomodate the number of people using it and there is only 1 bathroom and you had to go outside to access it. I don't recommend this hostel.

The check-in was pleasant, and it's a lovely hostel. Very nice garden. However, it would have been nice to know before we settled in that the staff bedroom was adjacent to the dorm room. They came and went frequently during the day and night, and would sometimes leave the door to the outside cracked. I don't have a problem with...

The Manager was very helpful when I arrived and allowed me to park my motorbike in the garage so it was secure. The dorm room downstairs backed onto the staff quarters so at all hours of the day staff were passing through which prevented a good night's sleep. Some of the staff liked to be noisy which as your trying...
