We booked via the i site in Christchurch so were unsure of what to expect. However, everything was perfect. The room was clean and comfortable, bed was just fine and the staff were very friendly. Definitely one to return to.

This is an excellent motel withing easy walking distance of cafes, restaurants and shops. Alex and his wife run the motel are extremely helpful with local information and knowledge. Room 1 was large and well equipped. There was a small patio next to a nice bubbling stream. Highly recommend.

Stayed for 3 nights. We were made welcome by Alex who showed us the room and explained what was happening in town over the next few days: if we were interested. The rooms were clean and comfortable and quiet. Anything we needed was no bother. It's an easy walk into town. Off street parking and Wifi. Will recommend

This family-run motel property is a few blocks away from the center of things, but certainly walkable. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well furnished. Not luxurious, but more than adequate for holiday travelers. Guest parking is provided, but the car park is a bit tight. The very friendly hosts offer a modestly priced, made-to-order continental breakfast service that I...

Akaroa is a premium destination with Christchurch about 2 hours away so we found the price very fair. The township has 2 groups of shops/restaurants and the motel is a few minutes walk from the first group one comes to on driving into the town. Our studio room was well equipped, very compact bathroom and compact in the main area....

We appreciate you providing feedback on the bed in your studio. We have heard that some people having a red wine to bed comfort ratio. However we...

Good location, room was well appointed with a balcony to sit out on. Bed was very comfortable and the room very clean. Biscuits and filter coffee top up every day. Owners were very helpful and booked us onto Murrays Farm Tours that was really just for groups! Couldn't ask for more.

Stayed for 2 nights. The place is comfortable and we got an unexpected bonus with the spa bath in our room. Alex the manager is very friendly and helpful, even loaning out fishing gear for free. Location is a pleasant10 minute walk along the seafront to the main restaurant and bar area but there are good options close by.

Congratulations again on catching a shark on your fishing expedition!!! We are both still impressed. Good luck with the rest of your adventures, Alex & Jane

We arrived in Akaroa after a 27 hour flight so pretty tired. On arrival we were greeted warmly and provided with milk to make a drink with and shown to our room. The room was well equipped, spotlessly clean and most of all had a super comfortable bed. We had stayed in Akaroa before but not at this motel and...

Nice comfortable room with external balcony that overlooked trees and a little stream. Just on edge of Akaroa, easy to walk everywhere. Helped with advice on what to do and bookings. Easy to find and easy parking

Hi Devaflam, Thank you for the review. The balcony is a great spot to unwind, have a refreshing drink and take in the native garden. Unfortunately the weather hasn't been amazing this summer however it sounds like you got a slice of sunshine and were able to make the most of it. Our staff are always happy to assist with...
