As mentioned by other, this property is very beautiful and cute. It is just back from the sea front and all its dining options. The rooms are good sized and spotless with free wifi throughout the property. We had an early start as we joined the postal tour but this was not a problem for The hosts who were ready...

Until I discover another, La Belle Villa must be my favourite B&B in the world. It is so pretty, charming and really what a B&B is all about - cute, cozy and hospitable. The historic house has been beautifully presented, the gardens are just magic, the breakfasts were delicious and the hosts were wonderfully friendly without being intrusive. Akaraoa itself...

Excellent B&B with amazing breakfast! The owners make the entire breakfast themself, including the musli which is the best!!! A small garden with fruit trees (yes, they do have a kiwi tree) and vegetables. At the front you can sit and relax, just watching people passing by and regretting they booked another place... The managers are very friendly, the rooms...

We stayed at La Belle Villa at the end of a three-week trip around New Zealand's South Island. What makes this B&B a treat are Alice's superb breakfasts, served on a lovely back patio, where guests can choose sun or shade. The rooms are comfortable and the location, quiet yet in the heart of Akaroa, is superb. We'd return, and...

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon and loved it. The B&B is charming and the innkeepers are friendly and accommodating. The garden at the B&B is beautiful and a great spot for a glass of wine, and the rooms are twee but charming.

Hosts Alice and Paul were very attentive, friendly, and fun to chat with. Bed was excellent for size and comfort. Room was quiet and spacious. Fittings throughout the property are attractive and high quality. This quality extended to smaller things such as bed linen and the way breakfast was presented. There is a guests lounge which feels very cosy and...

This has to be one of the prettiest B&B's anywhere - it's an historic house with the most beautiful gardens. Stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed the comfort, the location and the outstanding hospitality of the hosts, Alice and Paul. They couldn't have been kinder or more helpful. I especially enjoyed the scrumptious breakfasts - with Alice's home toasted...

Alice is a wonderful host. Genuinely wants to make you feel at home. A lovely character property built in 1870. In a perfect location in the heart of the town yet off the main street. Breakfasts are a delight. (not cooked english breakfast - but home made bread, savoury croissants, home made jams, great cereal, yoghurts etc. You feel very...

“Attic room we had was good for people of the shorter end of the height spectrum!”

“The property is on the main road leading south from Akaroa, so if you are noise sensitive you might prefer a room facing away from the road. (There wasn't very much traffic; it's not busy.)”
