Stayed there now four different times, each time have had a great experience. The place is clean, well organized, and has everything a traveler needs. The staff are relaxed helpful and fun. Perfect accommodation, comfort, relaxed and has fun hard to define style. Function without any fuss. Just felt easy staying there, the Right Choice staying in Picton no matter...

This place is great! Cozy beds, nice homey atmosphere, and friendly owners! I would definitely come here again. The access to spices and the garden is a big plus, and for a small price, Bruce offers homemade bread and jams for breakfast.

As mentioned by others, Jugglers Rest is so much more than a backpackers. It was the only place I felt at home during my eight week trip through New Zealand. Bruce and the staff really go the extra mile; even making a (no added cost) lamb roast for the other guests and I on my first night. The eclectic mix...

We thought Picton is so small that we just wanted to stay there for a night. But then Bruce, one of the owners, persuaded us to stay a night longer and it was definitely worth it. The hostel is really small and cosy, so that there is no harm to start conversations with the staff or guests. The staff is really...

Jugglers Rest is not so much a hostel than a guesthouse in the true sense of the word. With its warm, friendly atmosphere, homey, impeccably clean rooms, lush gardens, and a blazing fireplace warming your feet as well as your heart on cold nights, you will not find a better place to relax in all of Picton and beyond. Bruce...

Jugglers Rest is the best hotel/motel/hostel I've ever been to. It was so cosy and cute. The interior and exterior design was perfect and it inspired me to redecorate my own home back in Sweden. If you're going to picton, Jugglers Rest is a must!

I have stayed at the rest twice now and it will always be my go to, the gateway to the south island. A friendly atmosphere and enough toys to keep even the most severe of the easily distracted busy. Friendly faces and a warm welcome, instant family! Also, fresh eggs and bread and goodies from the garden! Pretty nice place...

Jugglers rest : best place ever !!! Really cosy house where we feel like home. Bruce is tall, funny and very friendly. The spirit of his house is amazing. The bed are really good, I slept there like a baby. Omi (the cat) will (soon) juggle with some practice.. It was a pleasure to learn it how to do with...

Was in Picton over night for a gig and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The staff were all genuinely lovely and it felt like home straight away. Very comfortable place to spend a night.

After arriving under the cover of darkness, in the last week of the Juggler's Rest's season, I was welcomed into this hostel as if being welcomed into a friend's house. It had followed a long journey where I had stayed at several very highly reviewed hostels en route (from Invercargill to Picton). However, while these hostels were sleek and soulless,...
