My family and I stayed here (4 adults, 17yr/o and 2yr/o). The hotel is extremely over priced. We paid $330p/n for a hillside room. When making the original booking, we triple checked the configuration of the room as there was an extra sunroom with bed in the photos. They confirmed that this is correct and we would be getting this... More

We arrived after or second day walking the Queen Charlotte track. The weather had been wet for most of our walk so we were a little tired and worn down at arrival. After check in and a hot shower we retired to the bar for a drink prior to dinner. As it was cold for November the fire was burning... More

The resort is a wonderful reward after a long trek on the queen charlotte trail. The rooms were very nice and and well supplied. A small patio off the room provided a great view. Regrettably we arrived later on a rainy day and so didn't have an opportunity to really enjoy the amenities. The restaurant food was delicious and service... More

This resort hotel is in a great location. Short distance from Torea Bay dock and great views of the bay. The rooms are clean and modern, with comfortable beds. We stayed in the Kowhai Rooms which had nice decks and views of the bay. The restaurant was below average for a hotel restaurant. The food was outrageously expensive and poor... More

Great location, but a captive audience. Restaurant prices start at 6. $35 for butter chicken seems excessive. No breakfast before 8 am. Some people like to start on the qct earlier. $10 for 2 litres of milk seems excessive and $35 for a $12-14 bottle of wine. But as I said, a captive audience. One night is enough. I would... More

This was our third and last night on the Queen Charlotte walk. After a LONG 22kms day nice to out our weary feet in the cold water of the Sound and soak up the view which was amazing. Room was large, maybe a little tired but very comfortable. A great dining room and the butter chicken outstanding! Also very nice... More

Slightly tired environment but you can see that the management are trying to get the place spruced up. The view from the rooms is awesome, but the beds were super bouncy. Spartan furnishings in the rooms too. The restaurant was ok. Don't expect too much. Speight's beer and a simple wine list. Good enough, but not dazzling.

Another Hotel on the Queen Charlotte Track walk and well and truly worth staying at. The rooms had fantastic views of the Harbour and were well maintained and very clean. The restaurant was a good experience too with knowledgeable and friendly staff. Special mention to David the Manager he went out of his way to make our visit enjoyable. Would... More

Walkers appreciate drying rooms, maybe a stiff brush for boots and a more nutritious packed lunch than a white bread roll, processed cheese and a sugary fruit juice. Big plus for driving 500m up steep hill to rejoin track in morning. Staff easily confused

Needs updating. At this price I do not expect holes in my curtains, the bar unable to make a gin and tonic, and a one oz bar pour. On the plus the room is comfortable. Oh, no free wifi?? The holiday parks offer it and we are so close to Picton.
