We spent a few days at Owhanake and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The view was super, Mike is an incredible host and an equally good vinter ! The room was thoughtfully appointed. The grounds were lovely and well worth a stroll around. It was a great stay, but all the more so because of Mike, who could not do enough for... More

We were looking for a peaceful getaway, somewhere relaxing and quiet but not too remote. Owhanake was the perfect place offering everything we were looking for and more. Mike, thank you very much for the fantastic time. We look forward to our next visit. Cheers.

Amazing views, delicious wines and the most pleasurable and kind host you will ever find! Thank you Mike for sharing you beautiful accommodation. The room was perfect and appreciated the food items/coffee and bottle of your wine. The coastal hikes, the walks to Oneroa and wine tours were lovely but the best time of our day was when we returned... More

We came across Owhanake Bay Estate purely by chance and we are so pleased we did. This is a truly hidden gem. If you love seclusion (but not isolation), stunning sea views and sunsets, high end boutique accommodation AND amazing wines (where you can sip the wine sat right next to the vines), then you will love this place. The... More

Great accommodation - very comfortable and in a sensation location. It's so secluded, but is just a short walk into Oneroa. We enjoyed the very lovely coastal walks nearby. Helpful hosts who sorted things promptly.

We had the loveliest time here. From the second we arrived we were welcomed by Mike and shown around the stunning vineyard overlooking the little cove. White sails are dotted against the glistening water and sitting on our private balcony reading the label on the bottle of award-winning 2012 Syrrah we looked out at the sunset. Mike can't do enough... More

We stayed for 2 nights and had a very relaxing time. Mike was very friendly and helpful.. What a great place to just chill out. Close to Oneroa but far enough away that we felt we were in our own little bit of paradise!. Highly recommend trying the wines both the Pinot Gris and Syrah were so good we had... More

We only stayed for one night at OBE but when we returned home to Auckland we felt as if we'd been away for much longer. A sign that our stay had been truly excellent. We had the one night package with massage (Karen superb!); dinner at Cable Bay Vineyard (divine food, watching the sunset), bottle of Pinos Gris in the... More
