We visited the hotel for a day by the pool (25usd/pers) to escape the heat between 11am and 5pm. The service included towel, wifi and 3 drinks with delicious cocktails. The service was amazing, and both food and drinks from the bar were delicious! If you are not staying at the hotel, you need to book in advance for restaurant, so you might want to plan ahead. It is also possible to book in advance the afternoon pool visit. The hotel is very well located from downtown Trinidad, with an amazing view. I will probably come back and test the hotel service on another opportunity.

It was a pleasure staying at this property, which is 3 minutes walking from the central park. MYSTIQUE TRINIDAD LA POPA is a nice hotel with excellent food and service. They offer a personal support and the best treatment to all the customers. Breakfast is good and you can choose: international vegan or local cusine etc. Also the restaurant is very good and comfortable. Overall the experience was brilliant and enjoyed or weekend getaway a lot. I will definitely stay there again is so peaceful.

We spent four wonderful days at this beautiful hotel. From the moment we arrived we had warm welcome and Fanny and Marciel at reception were extremely helpful in making sure we had amazing time thought out our stay, helping us in organising taxi transfers, trips and recommending local places to eat. We were really impressed with all staff that was always smiling and willing to help which made our stay in this hotel so special. I even got a cooking lesson from the chef Adrian. Everyone at the hotel was so friendly, so thank you to you all for making our stay in Mystique La Popa so special.
Hotel itself itās newly built with a great location at the top of the hill overlooking Trinidad and only a few minutes stroll to a historic city centre. Beaches are a short taxi drive. Rooms are very spacious & comfortable decorated in a traditional style to high standards with balconies.
We enjoy relaxing around the pool area and had fantastic time. I wish we could stay longer. We can highly recommend this tranquil place for holiday in Trinidad.

This is one of the best five-star hotels I have experienced in Cuba. The environment of the hotel is very beautiful and atmospheric, the supporting facilities in the room are very tall, and the perfume of Romeo and Juliet is unbelievable. All the staff in the hotel are very nice and of high quality. The unique location of the hotel offers a bird's-eye view of the entire city of Trinidad. I would highly recommend The Mystique Trinidad La Popa by Royalton which is situated a few blocks away from the old historical section of Trinidad, Cuba, for 1-3 nights max. Well taken care of, well managed, excellent service, lovely pool, awesome view over the city. I really have no issues with this hotel at all, except you cannot change monies there nor get info on day trips etc. On the negative side: is itās difficult to access due to needing to climbing the 600 metre hill to get to it and the questionable neighbourhood at the bottom thatās also not well-lite at nite, plus the historical cobblestone streets could pose a safety issue, so you have to walk slowly, have sturdy shoes and be watching where you place each step. The town provides plenty of bars and restaurants close by, but if paying in pesos they charge you double the price, so make sure you have US dollars. The town and surrounding area has limited items of interest, so come for maybe 2 days.

I went with my husband last week to Trinidad and we stay in the hotel. Since the very beginning the people at the hotel were very welcoming and receive us having so many great details. Everything in the hotel is amazing, beautiful and clean besides the location is perfect and close to everything. All the empolyees at the hotel are adorable they are all very kind, always making sure you are good and they really try to connect to their guests which I found very special. The breakfast was also super tasty! La Popa is definitely one of the most incredible hotels we have stayed. We highly recommend it and if we return we will for sure go back to this hotel.

My family and I had a wonderful staying at this hotel. What we enjoyed the most was the pool were there was a quiet and peaceful atmosphere, the colorful flowers in the surroundings put us in a state of relaxation. Carlos the bartender made us amazing cocktails and was always very kind and professional. Our rooms were very comfortable and what called our attention was the stunning view of the city.
