At first seemed to be pleasant enough, but the constant building work which would continue until 7pm ruined what would have been a terrific place- we complained- only to be utterly ignored; my verdict I'm afraid is avoid. The atmosphere is a vaguely family stay but it's really turning itself into a small hotel- we wished we had stayed elsewhere.

incredibly beautiful house with a spacious roof terrace and an intimate courtyard - everything is decorated with style. The room on the 1st floor was the best on our entire trip to Cuba - it`s huge and even the bathroom had a small balcony. If you eat in their casa for dinner, you will enjoy a multi- course meal of... 3 girls stayed here in one room. We had air conditioning and a fan which made the room a great temperature. The hostel is really cute and well set out and has a roof top. It's in a good location and the hosts Laura and Rubén are really lovely and helpful. The breakfast they offer is huge and was delicious.... More

This house is very beautiful. The garden is like a place of peace with the mangoes tree. Laura y Ruben are nice persons. We advise to book and to have the breakfast there. That was one of the best we had. The house is situated near the best restaurant to eat in Trinidad.

This is a great casa with a lot of charm and nicely decorated rooms( especially the upstairs room with a great view overlooking Trinidad orange roofs). The hosts are not the most friendly people I have ever met but they were never rude or impolite and always answered our never ending questions. The food they prepare is excellent. If you... More

We very much enjoyed the three days we spent at Casa Laura y Ruben. The casa is within a short walking distance of the historic centre of Trinidad so you can easily stroll into town to enjoy the sights by day, and then return in the evening to visit the many musical venues. The upper rooms in the casa have... More

We have many good things to say about this casa, but some negatives, too, I'm afraid. First, I will say that we wrote an email to the owner of the Patio casa across the road. He was full, but he asked if we wanted him to recommend a casa. Since Trinidad has hundreds of casas to choose from, we said... More

Laura y Ruben's casa in Trinidad is located close to shoppping, entertainment and buses. There is a bus that goes straight to Playa Ancon and back several times a day. The first bus leaves at 9:00 am and by catching this one you can pretty much be guaranteed a shady shelter and recling lounge chairs. The young men who work... More

We enjoyed a lovely new year at Casa Laura y Ruben. The casa is very pretty, clean and comfortable. It is situated in a side street away from the hustle and bustle of the main part of town, which we liked as it meant it was quieter and yet within a few minutes we were able to access by walking... We had a room on the top floor (1st) and it was fine: clean, tidy, spacious, attractive. So why 2 stars? because the whole point of staying in a 'casa' is to meet 'real cubans' and experience their hospitality. Our experience in a casa 3 years ago had been as such, extremely friendly, lovely people. Here it was completely the... More
