While the location is excellent and the lobby a throw back to another time with a nice bar, the room was odd and not inviting - almost as if they had taken furniture from it to furnish another room. Knowing the St. Regis in New York, I was somewhat disappointed at my experience

We like the feel of a smaller property in a good location. The St. Regis is a block from the White House and the location is perfect. Compared to most of the 5 star properties in DC, this one feels more like a small boutique hotel. We were in town for the weekend taking

Workout area?
Yes, there is a workout area,the level below the lobby. I used it during my stay. It is a little small but has everything a typical center would. And there's an attendant on site which was a nice touch

Fridge, no microwave. Butler will bring you whatever you need, though.

What is the daily fee for parking?
I checked and was advised not to rent a car and use Lyft or Uber which is very true all over the most crowded and busy city

Is there a kettle in the room to make tea?
No, but I did have a coffee maker delivered to the room. I would expect that you could have a tea kettle delivered as well.
