Travellers' Choice
The Hilton Washington DC National Mall hotel: a modern and stylish version of its former self. We are incorporating contemporary and upscale design elements to suit the needs of future travelers. Great attention to detail has been a focus including a LEEDS Silver classification to provide our guests with the latest in technology including Fiber Optic WiFi throughout, as well as green building strategies to sustain resources for generations to come. Hilton Washington DC National Mall hotel sits high above one of the most convenient rapid transit stations linking our guests to 5 of the 6 metro lines. Close to the action is an understatement, as we are just a short two block stroll to the National Mall to visit our Nations' most popular memorials, one block to the re-developing District Wharf a remarkable, mile-long section along the Southwest Potomac River's, and a 15 minute walk to the Capitol Hill, and across from the NEW International Spy Museum schedule to open sometime in 2019.

Perfect location to everything. The rooms are spacious and clean. Mostly, the staff are amazing, in particular Alex at the front desk was always with a smile and eager to help.

Hotel's Favourite
As a frequent traveler to DC for business, I’ve had the chance to sample many of the city’s hotels but Hilton National Mall has become my go to. While it may be trite to say: Come for the location but stay for the quality. The hotel is located on top of the L'Enfant metro station, where all the major metro lines in DC (except the red line), stop. Smithsonian museums, the mall and the Wharf are a 10-15 minute walk away and the International Spy Museum is across the street (LPT - check out 10% discount bar code at the front desk). Another LPT - take the cab from DCA rather than Uber or Lyft - it's cheaper (~$13-15), faster and it won't cancel on you (I can't speak for IAD). Another reliable option is the metro - the yellow line takes 15 minutes from DCA to L'Enfant metro station. There are almost always cabs waiting outside the hotel, and if not, the front desk or the bell captain will call one for you. The hotel itself is newly opened in 2019. Rooms are comfortable and spacious with hardwood flooring instead of the carpet. While there have been some minor issues with HVAC in the past, and it seems that guests have some trouble with spilling things in the elevators, the front desk is always very responsive and the issues were quickly resolved. Speaking of the front desk, they are welcoming, friendly, and focused on ensuring the best possible experience for their guests (especially Alex). The Housekeeping staff reliably and efficiently clean the rooms daily (just make sure you push the button by the door, there are no door placards). While there is a food court under the hotel that has a variety of quick service options, it can get very busy with school trips and it is mainly a lunch place. Luckily there are plenty of food options at the Wharf, only a few minutes away. The hotel has a restaurant, which is quite good and offers happy hour every day 4-6 ($6 beer and wine and some substantially discounted appetizers). This is helpful, as the hotel does not have a lounge, but they do offer an $18/day food credit (depending on status). Additionally, there is a Starbucks in the lobby. While I mainly stay at the hotel for business, I can say that because of the location and amenities it is also well suited for families (they have a pool).

Had a great experience in this hotel. I travel a lot for business. Was well taken care of from the staff at the registration. In particular Lorena, who gave me great advise on good spots to eat in DC as well as have me a run down of the services I could expect from the hotel. Suggested I try the buffet breakfast which I will do tomorrow. She said it was pretty good!

At the last minute we changed hotels to the Hilton National Mall, and we sure are glad we did! We had read reviews and noticed a name Alex that kept seeing. Then we met the famous Alex! He is awesome, went out of his way to be kind and help us. Thanks Alex for making our stay great! Also kudos to everyone, even the clean up crew in the eating area. Everyone was so nice. This hotel is So convenient. It was our 1st time in DC & on a family trip. We did not rent a car and wondered about the metro. It was so perfect with this hotel just down the elevator into the station to go anywhere. Close enough to walk to the wharf and to the Smithsonian Museums. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to everyone. Only issue is need signs if you get off the metro after 9pm the doors look to get back into the hotel from the metro at the top of the escalator. It is confusing the are 2 doors to go out and does not look like you can get back to the hotel. You need to go out the doors to the left and walk maybe 100 ft to the north and turn right to get back in the hotel for the front. Everything else was awesome! Thanks for making our family trip so enjoyable.

Great place to stay. The staff is wonderful starting with Alex and Lorena on the front desk to the staff in the restaurant and bar tenders. The rooms are great, they allow me to finish my work at night and get some rest for the next day. I am at this Hilton on a quarterly basis and it always meets my expectations.

During my recent stay at the Hilton Washington DC National Mall, I had the pleasure of meeting Lorena, who was working at the front desk. From the moment I arrived, Lorena went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. Lorena's knowledge of the area was impressive, and she provided me with some great recommendations for local restaurants and attractions. Overall, I cannot say enough good things about Lorena and the outstanding service she provided during my stay at the Hilton Washington DC National Mall.

Lorena and Jahaira have exceptional people skills and were attentive to our big group. They remembered our names and were extremely hospitable. It's the only place to stay while in DC. They provided information and recommendations to nearby places for business or family endeavors that were also known to them. They acted as tour guides with their vast knowledge.

Our stay was amazing. Alecks (Alex) welcomed us in and was professional and friendly. Every time we came through the front doors he would greet us. Amazing service. The room was exactly what we wanted. The location was perfect. The metro was downstairs and made it easy to get around Washington D.C.

I’m a big fan of the hospitality shown to us at this hotel. We stayed at this beautiful property for a conference and from the moment we arrived Flor did everything in her power to make our stay convenient and special. She even went the extra mile to offer an upgrade. Her kindness and hospitality really made all the difference during our DC stay.
