This would be an OK hostel if it weren't for the poor maintenance. The maintenance is so bad it is dangerous.

Loved how close it was to downtown DC and how helpful the staff was. They offered free meals almost every day I was there. One of the cleanest hostels I've ever stayed in as well. Definitely would encourage others to stay here!
I enjoyed my first stay at a hostel, at Duo Housing on June 22, 2017.
Duo Housing is conveniently located within walking distance of several Smithsonian Museums and national monuments for persons used to walking (perhaps a 20-30 minute walk to the museums).

Duo Housing doesn't have big lockers in their rooms. They have small lockers in the reception room and they also have a big store area downstairs. It is pretty safe there. They have codes for all main access doors and also many surveillance cameras so I think your stuff will be safe there. Enjoy Washington and Duo Housing!
