This hotel is nicely located for events along CT Ave or at GW. The hotel itself is clean and relatively new. Staff were very helpful and extremely pleasant at checkin. The European feel carries through with Greek-labeled toiletries. Why Greek? Who knows--maybe because it looks exotic. The gym at this hotel is nothing special, but definitely serviceable, with enough weights and cardio equipment to accommodate even the busiest times in the morning. There's a WaWa across the street in case you forgot something or just want to grab a cheap sandwich. Only flaw I can mention about this hotel is the noise from 19th street was not insignificant at 5:30 am. Trash trucks and other early morning workers provided some early morning and mostly unwanted auditory ambience.
Stayed here on a Sunday and Monday night. The location was perfect for our needs (visiting someone who lives in Navy Yard). It was an easy walk to the green and blue Metro lines and the Capitol. The staff is very friendly, has lots of energy, and was always eager to help out. The room was clean, everything seemed pretty new, and it was very quiet both nights. We will be back!
Hi Everyone; Just a heads up that there is a major construction site right across the street. I think they are demolishing a highrise building. Was woken up around 7am to construction noise, which then escalated as the day went on. Right now, I'm trying to work to the sounds of jackhammers, large equipment backing up and moving forward, and great big bangs as they dump enormous pieces of concrete into a receptacle. Not what I imagined for my business travel...I'd avoid until the construction is completed...
This hotel is in a clean, safe neighborhood. The staff were all frienfly- especially Amarri who checked us in, she was super helpful and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again on future trips.
My husband and I got married last August, in a virtual civil ceremony. It was lovely but we wanted to bring our families together for a medium size reception later in October. We booked the space about 3 months before the event. Tram Ngo, the dual senior sales manager, assisted us every step of the way and made sure everything went beautifully as planned. She took us through several walkthroughs of the space. She was transparent about pricing and logistics. The reception was absolutely magical. I recommend Tram and AC hotel to anyone looking to host a wedding reception in the heart of the city. AC's Washington Room and Rooftop comfortably hold about a hundred guests, we had about 75 with more than enough room for catering, cake, and a bar. Tram even made time to be there to help with set-up and coordination at the beginning of the party. I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. Tram Ngo, the Dual Senior Sales Manager, was a ROCKSTAR for our event!!!! I was the wedding planner for my friends' reception this past October and I couldn't have done my job without her. We had three months to plan and she went above and beyond every step of the way to assist me with what was needed; even through unexpected hurdles that naturally happen when planning an event. On the day of, she supported me even more so in ensuring the reception was a magical one for my friends and their guests. It was a beautiful day/evening and everyone was extremely happy. If you are in need of planning an event with AC or just want to stay in their beautiful space, ask for Tram.

From the helpful attendants outside to the friendly courteous and professional assitance provided by Amirri, Irena and Shakeda at the front desk let's you know that you can leave any concerns about the ease of check-in and check-out or the comfort of your stay are laid to rest.
Beautiful, clean rooms and fantastic location. The concierge, Jazz, is incredible! She is, in large part, why our trip was so enjoyable. Jazz helped us with everything, from start-to-finish: planning our trip a month before we arrived; using the Metro; dining; and, entertainment. Her customer service was amazing! I can’t say enough about her; Jazz is a true gem at the AC!
Team Marriott/AC at this location did a wonderful job. Irena at the front desk is a super delight. Her Manager, Michael was very accommodating and understanding when my specific requests were not relayed initially. Location is close to pretty much everything. My stay was overall great. I’m knocking down 1 star because construction is ongoing in a building across the alley and it will wake you up every morning at 5-7am. Brita Jackson at the front desk was super sweet and accommodating and made sure that she can find another room for me on the other side of the hotel where the noise level was much better.
