Really friendly front staff. Great bar. Everything works. Location good for everything you need, handy to transit, cool part of town. Cable TV. Really good Wi-Fi. Simple and safe bathroom. Convenience stores, and a wide variety of places to eat nearby.

My husband and I needed a room for an overnight stay in DC. We were attracted first by the modest price, but it was the attached Bier Baron pub that really sealed the deal. Our room was smaller with a very European feel. It was clean and comfortable, the workers we met were kind, and the service was prompt. The...

I met my brother there for a work/vacation. We had a limit to spend and chose the Baron. We were both happy with our selection. It is an old building, which was part of the charm. Reminded me of travelling when I was in my 20's. The staff were very friendly and helpful as well. The room was large as...

I wasn't impressed from the start because of the proximity of the bar, shabby appearance of the entryway and extremely old elevators. Then, at the front desk, I was given a keycard to a room that was already full of someone else's belongings - an iPad, suitcase and shoes, all out in the open. While I know mistakes happen, the...

I chose the hotel based on price. So had to figure it would be off the beaten track, and not terribly luxurious. It was indeed both of these. It was several blocks beyond George Washington U, way up 22nd Street, and the carpets were tawdry. What was most unusual about the hotel, however, were the bars on both the ground...

We stayed here for four nights to allow us to visit the sights in Washington. The Hotel position is very handy, a short walk from Dupont circle and the metro. Plenty restaurants nearby and the Hotel offers food and a huge selection of Beers from its two famous Bars where there is regular entertainment. The Hotel is adequate for a...

We booked this place thinking it was a regular hotel but when we arrived we found out it was a pub with a couple of different bars and that it also offered accommodation. The room was pleasant enough but it overlooked the bar entrance - unfortunately we stayed on a Friday and Saturday night so we were disturbed by a...

My partner and I stayed here while on our US holiday.... After some bad hotels in other cities, we didn't have great hopes for this place.... But we were proven wrong. The hotel was clean, neat, tidy and easily accessible for Ubers and taxis. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the bar downstairs was definitely a winner for...

I was 100% satisfied with this hotel. It is true that it is not new, but it is fully updated and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. It is a very safe location and just a few blocks from a Metro station. The room had a flat screen tv with plenty of channels. Very friendly and helpful staff. There...

An old and clean hotel! The location id fine to take a bus or a cab, the hotel is clean and calm, but I recommend to fix the ascenseur? The door is so hard to move it But at all it's a good hotel! The rooms sre fine and the beds are comfortable and clean.
