This is my second trip to this hotel, rather unexpectedly thanks to a cancelled flight. I have fond memories having spent my first anniversary at this hotel three years ago and being upgraded to the suite! This trip was shorter, just for a night, and without the wife! As with Monaco style, it's a historical building and rather large. It...

We went to see Paul McCartney in concert. We stayed at the Hotel Monaco. It was a wonderful experience. The service was really good when we walked in ... each of the 3 individuals made us feel like we had been there before ... and it was our first time. The rooms while small by today's standards were very comfortable....

Enjoyed the hotel. Especially the front desk (Alexandra) and the restaurant. Lobbty was fub to hang out in and enjoy coffee and other guests, especially those with a dog. Food was great as was the maitre de of the restaurant.

I spent about 5 weeks at the Monaco for a business trip, and the stay could not have been better. The hotel has a lot of character and some flashy decor (a giant sculpture of a lion's head is mounted on the wall above each bed), which I thoroughly enjoyed. The staff, especially the manager Scott, was incredibly friendly and...

Hotel has a great location, but doesn't live up to the "Kimpton" brand. Rooms are tiny with weird bathrooms inside a "wooden box". Walls are paper-thin -- you can hear anyone in the corridor or rooms nearby. The bed's mattress was old and had a marked dip in the middle, making it really uncomfortable. Also beware that some rooms (on...

Phi025 greetings and thank you for your comments. Our guest rooms and suites were completely renovated in 2016 and inspected after every guest stay - I'm sorry you didn't find the mattress comfortable or the location of your room acceptable. Rest assured we will inspect. You are correct our hotel, as a national historic landmark has guest rooms on different...

D.C. Is a sellers market so I often get stuck with exorbitant room rates, but $500 was the topper here. Keep in mind I paid the room and tax through Hotels.com, so check out shouldn't have elicited and surprises, but SURPRISE, there was. A single item, $20, labeled "Hotel Fee." After some discussion it seems it was the equivalent of...

Beautiful hotel lobby and hallways. Checked in an hour ago. Surprised at the size of room. Tub doesn't look like pics on website. Curious to know the difference between queen deluxe and queen premier. Other then desk chair and bed, no place to sit

The Monaco is in a great location, just a short walk to all the beautiful historic and national places and things to do. Being in a very old building with some awesome architecture, you'd expect the layout to be a little goofy. And you'd be right. They've done a great job of retrofitting elevators etc. Depending on where your room...

Ehsan C thank you for your great comments. Our iconic and historically stylish hotel is a fantastic location and a short walk to most of Washington DC's attractions. Our building was the original home of the United States Postal Service and was commissioned in the early 1830's, and completed in the late 1860's. It has an amazing history. I hope...

Perfect and ideal location for events at the Verizon Center. Was here for a hockey game recently and walked less than 5 minutes to hotel! Great and trendy restaurants dot the street on the way. And also a close walk to the national museums. Staff was very nice and will come back for sure!

We stayed here for 4 nights. We received a friendly warm welcome. This hotel is an old historical building so if you want a sleek modern hotel with high end amenities, this is not the place for you! The room was average and had a view of the window/wall of the building next door. Having said that we spent very...
