Less than a 10 minute walk from the conference center, the historic Monaco was perfect for this social studies educator! No matter the room was small-- just walking into the lobby made me happy I didn't choose to stay at the conference hotel. Having stayed at another Kimpton in Pittsburgh, I expected the quirky small room and grand public spaces,...

What kind of 4.5* hotel still has basement rooms?! You could hear street and traffic noise throughout the night. Good luck sleeping. If I wanted to look at dated hallway and wall decor, I can go to a museum. Not worth the price.

What a great surprise!!! We stayed here with our daughter and our new son-in-law before Thanksgiving, then returned by ourselves for six nights immediately after Thanksgiving. On our return for our six day stay, we arrived to find a cupcake and a bottle of Proseco in our room! The staff had found out it was my birthday and had it...

Stayed here for two nights on business; exceptional hotel with stunning rooms, great architecture in overall building inside and out; fine restaurant and service. Hard to beat the Hotel Monaco due to location, upscale design and detail, fine rooms and excellent service. I will definitely give it a go next time I am in the nations Capital.

The architecture and history of this building is absolutely spectacular and breath-taking. It makes you feel very lucky to be there. As the Kimpton Hotels always do so well, is that they add style and flair mixed with elegance. The hallways and staircases are magnificent. The halls are wide and the ceiling are high. The rooms are very comfortable and...

Love the hotel. Love the room. The bed is comfortable. Like the amenities. I am giving this a Lower rating totally because of valet parking. The time it takes to have them get your car checked in to checking out. Over 20 minutes to get my car. The valet told me they park four blocks away and they have one...

GSNova thank you for staying the Hotel Monaco Washington DC and for taking the time to complete a TripAdvisor survey. I'm glad you enjoyed our hotel, but am sorry to hear you were inconvenienced on December 1. We did have some logistical issues primarily due to the National Tree Lighting Ceremony and worked very hard in preplanning to insure the...

Our Thanksgiving travel plans were dashed at the last minute, so we pivoted on a dime and found a great rate at the Kimpton Monaco Washington just to get away! I had searched for a resort like hotel to indulge ourselves with rest, relaxation and good food. I wanted to plaster myself in a chaise lounge and have someone bring...

Stayed at the Kimpton over Thanksgiving weekend. The staff was courteous and friendly. The girl I think Lacey is her name was very helpful and told us where to go and what was going on in DC that weekend. The room and here lies the problem! So minute it was ridiculous, the door basically opened to hit the bed and...

Hello Leah S and thanks so much for taking the time to reply. I'm glad Lacey and our front desk team were helpful and courteous. I'm so sorry you didn't like your room. You are correct some of our hotel rooms are larger or smaller than others. It's due to our hotel being on the national historic register and that...

Beautiful hotel. Ideal location. Within walking distance to all the museums, great restaurants. Friendly service and gorgeous room. Eggs Benedict in the morning were amazing. Was a wonderful little getaway for our 30th anniversary. Very romantic!

From the moment we checked in, we were amazed by the warmth and promptness of the staff. Every request we made was handled with expedience and professionalism. The rooms are clean and comfortable - even the very small, least expensive rooms. The location is wonderful. There are many sights within walking distance. There is also a metro stop only one...
