Magnificent hotel! Hotel Monaco is IDEAL for families, couples, singles, anyone! It's decorated beautifully inside--modern with a twist. If you are staying, be sure to join the Kimpton Hotel rewards club, Karma. With it, you get free wi-fi, a 10 dollar bar credit and a nightcap service. Back to the hotel...the staff...VERY courteous. We had a cocktail in the bar...

Booked the Hotel Monaco because it is a Kimpton property and that they have a great pet policy (as I brought 3 dogs). Celebrated my sister's birthday and wanted a great place to stay. When checking in, I was informed that I booked the wrong room. I had mistakenly booked a single queen room instead of a double queen. The...

This hotel is one of a kind. The folks at Kimpton took the original federal post office building and transformed it into an amazing hotel. The staff is on point and always willing to go the extra mile with a warm smile. Dirty Habit, their new restaurant, is delectable! Small plates to share with friends so that everyone can enjoy...

My room was very quiet. It also happened to be halfway underground. A window let in some light and allowed me to watch feet going by. There was a yoga mat in the room, but not enough space to use it. Valet guys spent most of the time chatting with each other and very little time helping guests. The guys...

Stayed here with my wife and 12 year old son, on a first-time visit to DC. Really cool atmosphere and they served coffee in the morning and free wine, beer and snacks in the evening. Easy access to everywhere and right across the street from the National Portrait Gallery. Also, there was a giant lion head in our room which...

We like the hotel location which is within walking distance to most things. Depending on the side of the hotel, it could potentially be a bit noisy at night due to the very busy bar-restaurant on the lobby floor and nearby restaurant business. The hotel room is nicely decorated just like the pictures online. But the staff in front desk...

My friend and I stayed here for 5 nights during the inauguration--one crazy week! The lobby was gorgeous, our room was beautiful, and love the hotel's history as a former post office. Service was overall very good, including room service several times. A few relatively minor complaints: the bills should be easy to read but we found them confusing (i.e....

This is a wonderful hotel. Great location and right across from the National Portrait Museum and the Spy Museum. Lincoln theater a few blocks away. I found the location for visiting D.C. good. The old post office was renovated to perfection. Loved the public spaces, the service, the resturaunt, and the room. My room, Room 318, overlooked the courtyard. It...

We had a very nice one night stay in the Robert Mills presidential suite. The room and bathroom were very comfortable. The location was perfect for our weekend in DC. We had a very nice brunch at their restaurant, the Dirty Habit. We look forward to returning for another stay and next time take advantage of their beautiful patio with...

Despite the massive crowds in DC for the Trump protests, Kimpton Monaco didn't miss a beat. Welcoming, helpful staff accommodated the hungry, tired marchers with chili, coffee and wine in the lobby. The dinner and breakfast had at the Monaco was delicious and reasonably priced. As expected at a Kimpton hotel, the bed and linens were luxurious and the room...
