We stayed at this hotel because of its location near the Verizon Center and we can travel with our dog without an extra fee. They made her feel welcome every time we walked past the desk and when we arrived. The room was clean and you couldn't tell if animals had been staying in the room before. We would not...

The location is terrific, directly across the street from the National Portrait Gallery and an entrance to the Gallery Place Metro. From the hotel, you are just 2 stops from Union Station, about 4 blocks from Smithsonians and mall. When we were there in the first week of December, there was a holiday bazaar lining the sidewalks just across the...

Beautiful facade in a world of modern structure. The staff are wonderful. I felt very attended to. Rooms are wonderful but unlike some I had no goldfish to feed. This appears to be one of their things. Saw fish bowels so know they have them. Bed nice. Robes and stockings. So cute. Do try this place.

I enjoy the Kimpton Hotels, so tried the Hotel Monaco when I was in D.C. for business recently. It's very modern, and they upgraded me to a big corner room with a fantastic view. I almost wished I could have stayed longer. The service was wonderful and the location convenient to my D.C. meetings. I would highly recommend this hotel....

We definitely wish you could have stayed longer Caukwiphyllis, and yes, Poste Moderne Brasserie is our award winning neighbor - you can't go wrong with Chef Marron's delicious menu - I'm partial to the Chicken Paillard salad - please try it for lunch next time you're in! Best Ed - Monaco DC GM

I have been traveling to DC a lot over the past few months for work, and the Monaco is favorite hotel in the District. It is super charming and kind of quirky, which is how I like it :) I love old buildings and this one is an awesome all-marble landmarked former post office that is DC at its best....

We spent a few days in a wonderful historical property named Hotel Monaco. It's a perfect centrally location, because a lot of the major attractions are within walking distance. Our room was quiet and very spaceous and so the bathroom. There are very comfortable beds and all was perfect clean. It's a great property in a perfect location with hospitality...

We just returned from a 7 night stay. Shortly before arriving the hotel contacted me to ask if there was anything special we needed. I should note that I am a Kimpton in touch member, but I am not a regular guest. I mentioned that my husband and I were making this trip, in part, to celebrate our 42nd wedding...

I want to take this opportunity to commend that there were 2 personnel in the hotel to make my stay memorable; the first one was Manuel, the maintenance man in the hotel when my toilet wasn't working well, he came right away, fixed the problem and even vacuumed the area when he was done; the second one was the young...

Mabel_amar - you hit the nail right on the head - it's the team that makes all the difference (though a great location helps!) - in fact Manuel has been recently promoted - due in no small part to many of the great things you recognized. I appreciate your stay, and the kind words. Travel safe, come back again soon....
