Fabulous hotel with excellent service and phenomenal staff! We spent the weekend for our son's 11th birthday. We had a suite with a balcony that was perfect for the weekend. Extremely clean and all services were 5 star.

The hotel is on a fairly quiet cul-de-sac and is in walking distance to the national mall. The service is comprehensive and enjoyable. Ask for rooms with a view for there are great views of the Washington Monument and Jefferson Memorial. In house restaurant is nothing to write home about, what is good is pricey.

Dear rolfa413, With all of the noise pollution and incessant announcements that accompany travelers though the airport, on a flight, in taxi cabs and in restaurants, it's delightful to enjoy some Zen. We feel that way at Mandarin Oriental, Washington DC. We are located in a quieter area of the nation's capital, but still within close walking distance of the...

My only complaints are first world problems- the mini fridge was too loud, the hair dryer broke, the bar was too noisy. The important things were all present and all the little things made the difference. The front desk was extremely helpful and friendly. Check in was a breeze and after a long plane ride it was nice to not...

I attended a conference at this hotel and was excited to stay for a couple of nights, even though I live within a 45 minute drive. I have stayed at many different luxury hotels before, including the Mandarin in Miami, so I thought I was in for a treat. Well, overall I was not impressed with my stay. The good:...

Excellent Hotel with excellent staff especially Eugene the door man and Dorothy at the front desk they both were extremely friendly, really knew the city well and had excellent suggestions for places to go. Room Service and breakfast were exceptional all 4 days of the stay. The Suite was very clean and spacious, large walk in closet and bathroom.

Five stars across the board - Outstanding hotel starting with the doormen - every member of the staff is exceptional in service, friendly and almost overly attentive. Room was nice decorated, felt the 'Oriental' modern design, the best part was the customer service - someone coming every night to ask us if we needed extra towels, shampoo etc, for us the best part was the amazing shower and water pressure. Call me crazy, but that's huge for us in order to feel 'luxury pampered'. We have a...

Excellent hotel with excellent front desk staff - specially Wil. Coffee in the lounge was overpriced and very weak - and altho the lounge was nearly empty it took 30 minutes! We had the opportunity to stay here one Saturday night. Although the room package we booked indicated free parking included with the room, that was not the case.
