Excellent. Best bi-monthly date night in almost 20 years of marriage. Spa couples massage was exquisite! Everyone at the hotel treated us like royalty from the second we pulled up until the second we departed!

Check in was a breeze. Hot towel and water brought over promptly which was especially nice given the freezing temperatures in DC during my stay. I just had a basic room but it still felt like a treat. Spacious and with very nice bathroom toiletries. Housekeeping did a fantastic job. I worked from my room for a day and the set up of the table and chairs was conducive to that with good internet connectivity for my video calls. At the moment breakfast is not being served in the restaurant and it’s room service only with a relatively small menu but I easily found several good options. It was easy to put in my order and it arrived faster than I expected. Afternoon tea can also be served as in room dining right now which is very cool as I don’t think I’ve seen that anywhere in the world before now. I only wished I’d had more time to try it. The spa was doing good business when I visited but wasn’t crowded or uncomfortable. Stella was my therapist and very caring about ensuring I was comfortable, as well as informative about the essential oils. The spa attendants are lovely and proactive. The hotel very generously extended me a late check out to enable me to do my last call of the day from there - I was very grateful for this. The Mandarin Oriental in Atlanta put me off the US properties as it’s so grim compared with the Asian offerings of this brand but I’m glad I took a chance on the Mandarin Oriental DC and look forward to returning.

Outstanding stay with our family this week. Service is impeccable. Rooms are clean and well appointed. Pool is large with lots of natural light. Would have appreciated coffee service in the lobby as there are no coffee makers in the room.

My experience at the Mandarin Oriental was great! When you stepped in the door, there were tunes of the piano playing in their bar, the staff gave you a warm sanitized hand towel to wipe your hands with and water. The service was extraordinary and I felt like everyone on the staff cared about our needs and they were so nice and professional. The room was neat, anytime we call for anything it was sent to us with promptness. I would absolutely come back to stay!
