I attended a conference at this hotel and was excited to stay for a couple of nights, even though I live within a 45 minute drive. I have stayed at many different luxury hotels before, including the Mandarin in Miami, so I thought I was in for a treat. Well, overall I was not impressed with my stay. The good:...

Excellent Hotel with excellent staff especially Eugene the door man and Dorothy at the front desk they both were extremely friendly, really knew the city well and had excellent suggestions for places to go. Room Service and breakfast were exceptional all 4 days of the stay. The Suite was very clean and spacious, large walk in closet and bathroom.

Five stars across the board - Outstanding hotel starting with the doormen - every member of the staff is exceptional in service, friendly and almost overly attentive. Beautiful facilities and rooms, excellent food in Muze, the Lounge and in Room Dining - Mandarin food items were delicious. This hotel is at the top of our list for location, amenities, facilities,...

Room was nice decorated, felt the 'Oriental' modern design, the best part was the customer service - someone coming every night to ask us if we needed extra towels, shampoo etc, for us the best part was the amazing shower and water pressure. Call me crazy, but that's huge for us in order to feel 'luxury pampered'. We have a...

Excellent hotel with excellent front desk staff - specially Wil. Coffee in the lounge was overpriced and very weak - and altho the lounge was nearly empty it took 30 minutes! A la carte breakfast also overpriced and slow service. The dinner options for celiacs were very poor and even the non celiac meals lacked flavour. The main problem for...

We had the opportunity to stay here one Saturday night. Although the room package we booked indicated free parking included with the room, that was not the case. Valet parking is $44 overnight I believe. There is garage parking in the area but quite a hike. There's nothing truly around the hotel either. About 2 or 3 block walk to...

My boyfriend and I rang in the new year in 2015 at the Empress lounge, where we had such a magical time we returned for 2016. Even though we still enjoyed ourselves because it is about the company you keep, the Mandarin Oriental will not be getting our return business. Here is why: 1. The buffet was inaccessible to those...

Initially, when we were planning our trip to DC, I wanted to give AirBnB a try. My wife put the kibosh on that idea. Stayed here for a week with the family. I stayed here over Christmas/New Year. I had a deluxe room on the 7th floor. The view didn't include any historic landmarks, but with views down the Potomac for about 8 miles, there was certainly enough to keep it interesting.
