This was our first time staying there and we were pleasantly surprised! The room is spacious and gives lots of room for 2 to 4 people having their own space to do whatever they need to work etc. without bothering the other! It was extremely quiet and the staff were very welcoming and friendly and helpful! In addition the free...

I usually don't expect "residence " hotels to impress as much as regular hotels, but this one impressed me on all levels. The staff was friendly, but very professional. I felt safe and well cared for. Michael, at the front desk, was especially helpful with extending my stay, and with directions. My room had a full kitchen, a large living...

This place is filthy, tired and run down. I guess Marriott thought they could get by with throwing down some carpet and redoing the elevator cabs would bring a fresh look. They were wrong. This place is a 1980's dump and I will never stay here again. Housekeeping was bad and amenities were worse. It more resembled a hostel than...

After a long day of moving our apartment into a storage unit, my fiancé and I opted for a hotel stay at the Residence Inn in Foggy Bottom. I booked online, which made for a seamless check-in upon arrival. We were instantly greeted upon check-in and within five minutes we were in our room. We had room 808, which was...

This is a great spot for families to stay. It is located in the Foggy bottom neighborhood close to GWU and the Metro. It is a safe a pretty neighborhood. You could certainly walk to the Mall (about 1 mile). The staff is wonderful, informative and friendly. We had a good amount of space to stretch out at night. We...

This property is close to the Metro and GWU. It was quiet but very near good restaurants. Clean rooms and friendly staff. The breakfast had great variety, both hot and cold. The free happy hour was enough for dinner the night we went.

I am a Marriott Platinum member, so am quite familiar with the range of options the brand has to offer, and this was by far the oldest, least maintained property I've experienced. It has some pros though, so if you don't mind the cons it could work for you. PROS: 1. Location (2 min walk to Foggy Bottom Metro, 7...

The staff is friendly and they strive for good service. However, my suite felt old and dated and smelled like someone went wild with rug cleaner trying to cover up some other smell. Not pleasant. Hotel was booked so I couldn't switch rooms. Expensive stay for what I received.

This is a very good hotel and above par for a residence inn. Well situated and good clean rooms. The gym is small but decent and does the job. Good breakfast in the morning. Pricey because of the location but all in all a good value hotel.
