Very nice and quiet residential neighborhood. A charming residence and very warm and welcoming hosts. The garden was also very charming! I loved the beautiful, English style breakfast room and light breakfast. I was traveling for work, so it was very nice to get away from the impersonal hotel scene downtown - and yet with just a 10 minute $5 Uber Pool ride, I was at the Washington Convention Center for my conference. I would absolutely recommend the B and B! Note: I am surprised to see a post from another guest complaining about the shared bathroom and the $10 service fee and the 3rd floor room with narrow staircase and fee for breakfast. Both the bathroom and service were clearly stated when I booked my room, and it was also clearly stated on the booking site that breakfast would be an additional fee. I dare someone to find a comfortable place to have a fresh fruit salad, an egg and toast, plus juice and coffee for $5. And, if a traveler does not like using stairs, then its seems only logical to plan to stay at a hotel not a home :-).

Conveniently located for seeing the sights of D.C. in the most charming neighborhood. We were kindly received and offered breakfast, which was delicious and the perfect fuel for our sightseeing. Would highly recommend for those of you looking for a more personalized accommodation experience! The house is also beautifully old and decorated as such with plants and a garden. Lovely all around :)

I have never written a review, but was just annoyed enough to write one. I spent one night at Ledroit Park Renaissance Bed and Breakfast. It was a last minute reservation and a convenient for my visit to DC. I tried several time to call the Inn prior to my arrival with some questions, but could only get an answering machine. I did notice on their website that shared bathrooms were part of the agreement only after making the reservation. I also discovered that it turns out there were 4 adults sharing one bathroom. I also discovered that the "Bed and Breakfast" charged an additionl $5.00 for a "so,so" breakfast. The daughter, Emily , greeted me upon my arrival and was very helpful and carried my bag up to the 3rd floor on a very narrow staircase. So, I did appreciate that. The beds were very uncomfortable and the bedding adequate. When I received the statement I noticed a $10 service charge. And, that's when I decided to write this review.

We had a very positive experience from start to finish. We arrived on a red-eye flight and asked to leave our bags in the early morning before we actually checked in. The hosts responded to our request in a timely manner, graciously accepted the bags, and even had our bags waiting in our room when we returned later in the day. The host was also helpful in directing us to the public transportation options, which were a convenient walk from the front door, and in answering all our questions about DC colleges we were exploring. The house and our room were quaintly decorated, clean, and well equipped. We wanted for nothing! Breakfasts were also tastefully prepared and laid out. We will definitely return if we find ourselves in DC again!

This a no-frill mum and pop BnB and great value for money. It is a good solid ten minute walk from the Metro and some corners, blocks around here are a bit sketchy and you will encounter homeless people but these things are only the slightest of black marks and the only other thing is that the air-con is loud and may be too loud for some. The BnB itself is well run, safe, neat, clean, tidy and I had not trouble or waiting in getting to used the shared bathroom at any time. Al things considered I would go back as I had a pleasant stay at value price.

I stayed at this B&B for one night. The room was beautiful and clean and had a comfortable bed. I also enjoyed the breakfast. The hosts were very friendly and helpful both before and during my stay. The neighboorhood was very pretty and I enjoyed seeing this part of Washington. All in all, I would definitely recommend this place.

The B&B owner was very nice and helpful. Great breakfast though a bit too early (7-8am). Very clean. Free laundry service was awesome! A bit disappointed that Wifi is very slow and the location is a bit far from metro station. Air conditioner is on request so it may be a problem to some people.

The only thing that would make this place appealing is if you're someone who likes antique and old fashioned places, things, furniture and decor. There is really no service to rate or speak of. I was lucky to have someone carry my heavy suitcase up and down the stairs but apart from that, more times than not the place was totally empty. I have nothing more positive to say about this place.

We went to DC for a Tiger game. The Metro is about 6 blocks away. Using the green line, it was 5 stops to ballpark. For downtown it was 3 stops. Hosts had Metro cards for us to use. You just added $$ to card for your use. Host dropped us off as my friend could not walk very good. The rooms are on the 3rd floor with no lift. The bathroom is shared, but it was not a problem. The breakfast is on the light side in my opinion. Within 3 blocks I found 2 gas stations and a dunkin doughnuts. Only one of them had snacks but was very limited what they had. There was a small run restaurant run by a older gentleman. Food was great. The restaurant could use some updating. We did not ask about other places in the area because of the walking problem. The cost fr the airport at 4pm was about 28 and the return was 25 in a taxi.
