My sister and I stayed at George Washington University Inn when we were visiting DC for about a week just before Thanksgiving. The location is fantastic - it's a relatively short (and pleasant) walk to the National Mall, and is in the historic Foggy Bottom district, and we greatly enjoyed walking around the neighbourhood. A metro station is close by,...

It's a nice old hotel, Free Wifi, Everything is really clean and just a 20 minute walk to the national mall. The staff was really helpful as well. I will probably stay here again next time I am in Washington DC.

Me and my grandmother we went to DC on Thanksgiving. We plan to stay there for 2 nights.Friendly and nice staff. Room is clean. The design inside the room look better then in the pictures. Microwave in side the room. And the location only 2-3 minutes walk to CVS or small grocery store. Price is ok.

We arrived at this hotel after a 5hr drive, to a small driveway, where parking to check in was limited to approx 3 cars. You are not allowed to park yourself, it's Valet parking only at $40 per day plus tax. The hotel is dingy and old looking. The reception was ok and the welcome was good. The room was...

I took my son and daughter to Washington, DC for an overnight trip and after reading many views of the various hotels, I decided to book this hotel on Trip Advisor. (Saved money by doing this as there was a special). The staff was very friendly and courteous. We arrived before check in and we were allowed to check in...

This is a great hotel in a good location in the heart of the Foggy Bottom neighbourhood close to the metro stop. The GWU Inn is on a quiet residential street nearby and there are good facilities nearby - Wholefoods Market, Starbucks close by and a large CVS over the street in the Watergate complex The rooms are spotlessly clean...

Spent a night at the GWU Inn and was pleasantly surprised at how efficient the place was. Easilyaccessible to DC via Foggy Bottom metro on the orange/silver/blue line. It's barely a 5 minutes walk..right behind the metro station. Carpet was in good shape - not worn and the room was large. Refrigerator, coffee maker(with condiments) and microwave in the room....

first of all, the people at the front desk are WONDERFUL! So helpful and had great recommendations. They let us check in early, which we greatly appreciated. The room was bigger than I thought it would be - quite comfortable. However, our room was on the first floor and directly over the entrance to the Inn. So, at times it...

I stayed at this hotel for the second time. It is meters away from Foggy Bottom Metro, walking distance from the World Bank, IMF, White House, the Mall. I found the rooms clean and comfortable. The bathroom was ok. The kitchenette totally adequate. Breakfast is hot and cold buffet but at $20 it tends to be useful only when one...

This hotel is a little older, but nicely kept and spotlessly clean. But the best part of staying here is location, location, location. Close to metro stops, the White House, the National Mall and Kennedy Center. Very quiet even though it is right in the midst of George Washington University. Staff is fantastic and attentive. If you like old D.C.,...
