We loved the old school hotel vibe and friendly, attentive staff as well as the comfortable king sized bed and nicely laid out suite. The hotel itself is such a pretty building inside and out. It feels so classically DC to me. My companion left some jewelry behind and the staff ensured she received it back promptly. I'd return in...

Our stay was not a good experience. Myself and two other colleagues had to change our rooms because the original ones were musty, moldy and dark. My room wasn't even ready --the bedding was a mess. If that wasn't enough the towel bar broke and my robe was taken and never replaced. I called and no one ever came to...

The building is dwarfed by the HUGE Marriott hotel across the street, but offers much more than the Marriott could offer. Location is perfect for exploring DC on foot. My stay included a nice big room, corner on 5th floor, with traditional furnishings, crown mouldings and interesting details. The bathroom is small, but comfortable. The highlight was finding out that...

As expected, the hotel is visibly historic with lots of charm. Our room with king-sized bed was comfortable and we were within easy walking distance to White House and Mall. When we arrived we accidentally pulled into the next door parking garage thinking it was the hotel and were glad we did - paying $22 a day instead of almost...

The Henley and I have been 'together' since the late 80's. Initially it was a weekend get-away for my significant other and I to escape. Over the decades I have stayed from time to time for business and pleasure; most recently for 3 nights in November 2016. Belie e it or not the rooms; valet service; bar/lounge area and superb...

Spent 2 nights on a recent business trip. The hotel is a pleasant old style one , situated a bit out of the Foggy Bottom /Georgetown area that I prefer, but the price was right. Overall the room was very silent, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom clean. It would have been a 4 star rating, but they did not...

The hotel is a quaint hotel close to the convention center, and close to Mt. Vernon Sq Metro station. The staff is very pleasant, and the restaurant is very good. The room was clean. That being said if you are a light sleeper I would bring ear plugs as at night it can be a bit noisy.

This place is a true gem. Across from the convention center, so easily accessible for my husbands business convention. I was able to visit the historical sites each day as an easy access. It's a short cab ride and I walked back each day. Great boutique hotel with a wonderful restaurant.

Checked into the charming old hotel with excellent location. Lobby and dining areas ooze charm and history. Check in was with a staid, unfriendly man. Elevators were tiny, slow and tired. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Experience the elegance of a grander era at The Henley Park Hotel in downtown Washington DC. Constructed as the Tudor Hall Apartments in 1918, this historic address served as the home of notable Senators and Congressmen. Showcasing a stately façade of leaded, stained-glass windows and 119 grinning gargoyles - including two depicting the architect and his wife - the lodging struck the ideal tone for its distinguished clientele. Thanks to a staff as attentive to tradition as it is to the ever evolving needs of the modern traveler, the civilized spirit which made The Henley Park Hotel one of Washington’s most cherished homes is very much intact. ... more   less
