My wife and I spent 4 nights in this hotel when visiting Washington. Because we wanted to see the main tourist attractions (the Capitol, the White House, Lincoln memorial etc) the location of the hotel was perfect. Our room was clean, well appointed and the staff were generally helpful. However, if loads of business people attending conventions is a concern, this busy hotel is probably not for you.
Delightful, friendly staff; a spotless environment from the entrance to the restaurant, check in, corridors and our room. Staff bent over backwards to help in any way. The wait staff were professional providing unhurried efficient service with an air of being delighted to be helpful. Our room was spotless, large with a super comfortable bed. Because of COVID table surfaces were streamlined. And the shower was a pleasure.
Stayed at the Hyatt Regency and had a very good time. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They accommodated us for all of our needs, and I felt that they truly cared about our stay to make it as pleasant as possible. The room was always cleaned upon our arrival and the housekeeping staff would always come back to our room to clean it up.
Staff is extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating to your needs. The hotel is clean, our suite was perfect! The location is perfect for seeing the sights. I came for a business trip and then a couple of days of relaxation and the Hyatt was perfect for both.
The staff went out of there way to ensure our stay was comfortable. My reference to accommodating is our original reservation was broken in days for our room. When we arrived that was quickly remedied without asking.
Room was average in size and amenities. AC did not function properly- alerted maintenance and all they apparently did was turn the thermostat down to 60 which still did not properly cool the space with dry air- felt humid the whole stay
In town for meetings and a conference, a total stay of four nights. Stayed here because the conference was being held at the property. Expected more from a Hyatt. Staff was pleasant, not going out of their way helpful (with the exception of the wonderful concierge and bell staff who were always happy, helpful and kind). I did ask to have a room on a high floor and that was easily accommodated, however my happiness was more of a "meh" when I opened the door and took in the room. The room had a strong stale odor, as if it was long ago a room where smoking was allowed. Amenities (for a room priced above $300/night - at a conference rate) were non-existent. Not a single bottle of water was available (except for the gift shop where the smallest bottle ran $7). The coffee maker was inoperable, the floor lamp had large brown stains on the shade, the duvet cover on the bed was not clean, and the curtains at the window above the A/C unit had a large amount of black mold/mildew along the edge. Service in the lobby lounge was good - the wait staff was very patient with the influx of convention guests who were quite thirsty. But a good bar does not outweigh a poorly maintained guest room. Future trips to DC will require a different place to stay.…
From the moment you arrive to the time you leave, the customer service is excellent. It's clean and inviting. They have everything you need from business to family vacations. The Hyatt is located close to all the important buildings and events. If you need some TLC, come to the Hyatt in Washington DC.
Big bright atrium with pleasantly arranged dining and bar, plenty of seating for convention goers and people waiting with their luggage. Handicapped entry is a little tricky - you really need to have a hotel key. The rooms are rather traditional, dark and clean. Doormen were great about calling cabs
I always enjoy hyatt hotels, but this one needs definitely some renovations. The bathroom is still not hyatt standard, the doors needs to be changed like the carpets. And why do i have to pay extra for cappuccino, espresso or cafe latte at the breakfast buffet?
