The River Inn is a lovely, quaint hotel just blocks from the GW Foggy Bottom campus. The rooms are clean and the staff is accommodating and the location is perfect—only two blocks from the metro. We had a wonderful stay and will return the next time we visit DC.
This is a great place to stay. Rooms are super nice with a mini kitchen. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Great location to walk or take metro to all the local attractions. We came to DC to take in all the history and then went to a baseball game in Baltimore. Highly recommend this hotel.
We stay at The River Inn every time we come to DC and are never disappointed. This small hotel is tucked away in a pleasant residential neighborhood within walking distance to the Kennedy Center as well as the Foggy Bottom metro stop - an easy 5-10 minute walk. The rooms are very nice, well appointed and comfortable. The rooms we have stayed in have had a full kitchen with a Keurig coffee maker. Though we haven't taken advantage of the service, guests can place an order to have groceries waiting for them at their arrival, which sounds like a great idea if traveling with kids or having a late arrival. The employees at the front desk are very helpful and friendly. Diego, Brandie and Joda all gave us good information and directions during our stay. They are a great team! One thing, and something to check on, there used to be a nice little restaurant attached and during covid it closed. They are working on getting a new facility up and running, but there are no dining options in the hotel. Again, 5 minutes on foot will give you lots of options, just ask the excellent front desk team!…
I had to travel for business for an entire week and needed a place that felt like home- comfortable; quiet and convenient. I could not have asked for a better place. I also booked three other rooms for my extended family and we all loved our stay. The rooms were spacious with a wonderful kitchenette and with a Wholefoods and Trader Joe’s down the street it was all we needed. The hotel is close to GW and all the fabulous restaurants. Most of all, the staff could not have been more helpful. A huge thanks to the manager Brandie who welcomed us and made sure we had all If our needs met. She was fabulous. Also Trey who pitched in to help. Diego was also very friendly and had a great trainer in Brandie. If you are looking for your home away from home, this is the place to stay. I will stay there any time I am in DC.…
My wife and I recently spend ten nights at the River Inn. 5 minutes from Foggy Bottom metro station and a 15 minute walk to Georgetown Harbor and many great restaurants. Staff are friendly, courteous and helpful. The Inn is very clean and it is in a quit location. Nice neighborhood. Bed was excellent. Having a galley kitchen was a plus for a quick breakfast in the mornings. Another benefit was the free use of bicycles which we used on two occasions. and laundry on site eliminated bringing extra cloths. We would highly recommend staying here.
We had a double suite on the fifth floor. Very quiet and quite comfortable. We loved the art in the room and throughout the hotel. The restaurant is closed but there is coffee and pastries in the morning. The location in Foggy Bottom is a great one, near all of downtown.
Amazing hotel in the perfect location. Jada was amazing at check in! She was so helpful and friendly and gave us great recommendations. This hotel is easily walkable to Georgetown and a ton of restaurants nearby. Our room was huge, thank you for the upgrade! It even had a kitchenette. Big and comfy bed. Would definitely stay here again!
Room was more than a room. It was a suite. Kitchenette well-equipped, and we used it. Beds more than comfortable, two very good TVs, etc. Place was spotless and the staff couldn't have been more helpful.
Awesome and just the best staff Especially Brandy. Rooms large and roomy and they wash your dishes by hand along with cleaning the room. Extremely flexible team of people who follows up with the status of my reservation request as promised!
Staff is super nice, they welcomed us with a gift due to our honyemoon. Location is really good, walk distance to many places. Clean and spacious room. Very comfy bed and coffe provided for each day. We will recommend that hotel for you once staying in Washington.
